There's No Turning Back (Elara and Harvey) novel Chapter 75

The interview continued, and the conference room fell into dead silence. Throughout the rest of the interview, Elara never once mentioned Fisher Corp or Harvey.

On the large screen, the CEO of NGT Group pulled out a Euconian dictionary. He flipped through the pages until he found the explanation he was looking for.

Reading aloud, he said, "Not worth mentioning—meaning something is insignificant or unimportant. Oh?"

The NGT Group CEO let out a surprised exclamation. "Harvey, according to your wife, you are… insignificant."

Spreading his hands, he leaned closer to the screen and looked directly at Harvey, who was standing in the conference room.

"Your wife called you her ex-husband. Did you really get divorced from the woman who just won first place in a national math competition?"

The atmosphere in the room shifted dramatically. The shareholders could no longer stay calm.

"Mr. Fisher, how could you and your wife get divorced?"

"She publicly called you her ex-husband in front of Gingham TV! Is this true?"

"Didn't you say she was just making a fuss about divorce? How did this actually happen? So… Does that mean there's no way to recruit her into Fisher Corp now?"

A chilling aura radiated from Harvey as he was about to speak, but before he could, Cyrus hurriedly handed him his phone.

"Mr. Fisher, your wife… She just announced the divorce on her social media!"

Harvey's gaze locked onto the phone screen, not noticing the cold sweat forming on Cyrus's forehead. His sharp eyes were fixated on a screenshot of Elara's social media post.

His jawline tensed instantly, and the dark aura around him deepened. He pulled out his own phone, only to realize with a jolt—he couldn't check Elara's profile with his own account.

She had blocked him a long time ago.

Meanwhile, his notifications had exploded with unread messages. Most were congratulating him on his wife's achievement of securing first place in the national competition.

But a small number of messages came from those who had seen Elara's announcement, asking if the divorce was real.

A suffocating force seemed to pull Harvey apart.

He tapped on the screenshot and saw Elara's post—she had uploaded an image of a bright white divorce certificate with a simple caption:

"What a joyous occasion."

"No matter how much you raise them, they remain ungrateful! If she wants to struggle outside with her mother, then fine—I'll just pretend I never had that granddaughter!"

With Ethel's decree, the other elite wives exchanged subtle glances, already making their own calculations. They now knew exactly how to treat Merida at Summit Academy moving forward.

Ethel took note of their reactions, her lips curling into a victorious smile as she flaunted her influence.

"I already had Mr. Osborne remove Bambi's academic records from Summit Academy. Out of sight, out of mind!

"It's not that I don't care about family ties—I just don't want an ungrateful traitor leading my precious grandson astray!"

"Madam Foster, you made the right decision."

"Madam Foster, your foresight is truly remarkable."

Flattered by their praise, Ethel basked in their admiration.

Feeling even more triumphant, she added, "I've been wanting to get rid of Elara, that country girl, for so long! I never approved of the Jones family in the first place.

"It was only because my husband has a soft heart—he didn't want to neglect the old comrade who once fought by his side!"
