The Year I Was the Other Woman To Myself novel Chapter 834

"I've kept a crew maintaining it on a regular schedule. I always knew we'd come back here someday, and it seems I was right."

Hamilton pushed the front door open, then bent down to take Kristin's hand.

Kristin immediately yanked her hand away, pouting as she turned to Natalie to voice her displeasure.

"Mommy, I don't like it here! I want to go home!"

Natalie gently coaxed her, "We're just going to hang out here for the day, sweetie. We'll go home tonight."

"But Dad and I had a promise! We were supposed to go to the zoo today."

"Dad has some important work to do. He'll take you to the zoo another day, okay?"

"Then I'll just wait for him at home."

"He..."

"Kristin, I am your father. You should only be calling that man your uncle," Hamilton interrupted, his tone suddenly stern.

"You're not my dad! I don't even like you!"

"Whether you like me or not, I'm your father. It's my blood running through your veins!"

"Hamilton!" Natalie quickly pulled her daughter behind her. "If you do that again, I'm taking Kristin and leaving right now!"

Hamilton let out a heavy breath. "I don't like my daughter calling another man Dad. Just like you wouldn't like Kristin calling another woman Mom, right?"

"This is all because of you—"

"You want to say this is all my fault, right? I admit it. But I'm actively trying to make up for it, and the two of you should at least try to let me in."

Natalie rubbed her temples. There was no reasoning with him. All she could do was pray the day would end quickly so he would honor his promise to let Marico go.

"Kristin, Daddy prepared a surprise for you."
