The Year I Was the Other Woman To Myself novel Chapter 759

"Dinner's ready. Let's eat."

Seeing that Kristin had finished her homework, Hamilton chimed in at the perfect moment.

Natalie had no desire to argue with him in front of Kristin, so she pushed him out of the room.

"We don't want you here. Please leave immediately."

Hamilton stared at her for a long moment before holding up his hand, showing off a fresh cut.

"I accidentally sliced my finger while chopping vegetables earlier. It bled a lot."

Natalie scoffed inwardly. So he was trying to play the pity card to get her forgiveness?

Seeing that Natalie remained completely unfazed, Hamilton let out a dejected sigh. "It's still bleeding. The least you could do is give me a bandage."

"If I give you a bandage, will you leave?"

"Yes, I'll leave."

Hearing his promise, Natalie immediately went to the first aid kit in the living room, grabbed a bandage, and handed it to him. But Hamilton didn't take it. Instead, he simply extended his injured finger toward her.

"I can't put it on with one hand."

Natalie swallowed her irritation and wrapped the bandage around his cut. "Is that enough?"

Hamilton inspected his finger and nodded in satisfaction. Then, without missing a beat, he turned and scooped up Kristin, who had just walked out of the bedroom. "Alright, sweetheart, time to eat!"

"Hamilton!" Natalie was furious enough to hit him. He had lied right to her face.

Hamilton turned back and offered her a charming smile. "You forgot. I always used to be a bit of a scoundrel."

Natalie stormed over and grabbed his arm, giving him the perfect excuse to lean in and whisper, "You don't want our daughter to see us fighting, do you? What if it scares her?"

Natalie's grip on his arm tightened. "You bastard."

Hamilton chuckled. "Just relax and accept the fact that I'm going to take care of you both."

"I don't want you to hold me! I want my mom!"

Kristin had been too stunned to react when Hamilton first picked her up, but the moment the shock wore off, she began thrashing wildly.
