The Year I Was the Other Woman To Myself novel Chapter 599

Penelope had a sinking feeling that something was wrong, so she hurried to find the film crew.

“Mr. Bishop just left. He drove his own car and told us not to follow. It seemed like he was going to meet someone,” Donald’s assistant said.

Was he coming to meet her? Did they somehow miss each other?

With that thought, Penelope rushed back to the small square, but Donald still wasn’t there. She waited a while longer, but he never showed.

She was starting to panic and was about to call his assistant again when her phone buzzed with a text from Donald.

“Something came up unexpectedly. I have to go home. Let’s meet another day.”

Seeing the message, Penelope breathed a sigh of relief.

“Okay. Let me know when you’re free. I’m available anytime.”

Donald didn’t contact her over the next two days, but Penelope didn’t think much of it. When he was deep into filming, it wasn’t unusual for them to go over a month without contact.

The next day, Benson got back to her. As Penelope had expected, he agreed.

The temptation to see his vision brought to life, completely unaltered, was too great for a writer to resist. Benson had always admired Natalie, and while agreeing to produce, he also confirmed she would be the lead.

Natalie immediately threw herself into preparing for the role. This time, she had to make a stunning comeback.

Penelope divided her time between caring for her children and looking for schools for them. Summer break was approaching, so she decided to take her time and enroll them after the holidays.

One day, while Penelope was at a swimming pool with the two kids, Donald’s assistant called her.

“Ms. Laurier, I suspect something might have happened to Mr. Bishop.”

The statement came out of nowhere.
