The Year I Was the Other Woman To Myself novel Chapter 278

"How about just one sip?"

"One sip for one kiss?"

That was a tempting offer. Penelope took a small sip. It was incredibly bitter. But the next moment, she tasted something sweet.

Genuinely sweet. Theodore had a piece of candy in his mouth.

She leaned in for another taste, but he pulled away.

"Another sip of medicine first."

Penelope whined, pushing the bowl away.

"Am I not sweet enough for you?" he murmured, his voice low and enchanting.

Penelope deliberately pouted and then, when Theodore wasn't looking, stole a quick kiss.

Theodore chuckled. "That eager?"

"Hmph, sting...y..." she rasped.

"Never. I've been yours for a long time."

"Then... I... want..."

"Pfft!" Theodore burst out laughing. "Are you sure you want to talk seductively with that voice?"

Penelope bit his chin in annoyance. How dare he laugh at her.

"I'll stop, I'll stop. I won't laugh. Just one more sip."

Theodore coaxed her into taking another sip, then quickly gave her another taste of sweetness.

Meanwhile, Anna had finished her woeful tale. Simon clenched his fists, ready to go find the person who had hurt his sister.

"I brought her with me," Anna said.

"You brought her here?"

"Hmph, and she's an employee of the KINY Group."

"Is she?"

"I want her fired! I want her to be run out of Orenth! I want her to regret ever crossing me!"

Simon gritted his teeth. "Anyone who touches my sister, I'll break their arms first!"

Michael rubbed his nose. "I'd advise you not to be so impulsive. You should find out what really happened first."

"Didn't you see the handprint on my sister's face? What else is there to ask?"

"You should still ask. What if your sister deserved it?" Hamilton said, not as tactfully as Michael.
