The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 991

Standing amidst the crowd, Kirsten watched the scene unfold with a sigh. Just a few months ago, Danielle and Alexander were still husband and wife. Now, he was about to get engaged to someone else. Life's twists and turns were truly unpredictable.

Just as Lorie was about to step onto the stage, a jarring screech of metal cut through the air. Everyone instinctively looked up. The enormous crystal chandelier in the center of the banquet hall was slowly descending.

"The light! The light's going to fall!" someone screamed, and the scene instantly erupted into chaos. Guests scattered in panic, their screams and cries mingling with the sound of toppling tables and chairs. The once-luxurious hall transformed into a battlefield of pandemonium.

Kirsten, standing not far from the stage, was frozen in shock. The chandelier was directly above her, its massive shadow engulfing her and rooting her to the spot. As she stared at the swaying crystal pendants, her mind went blank, and she completely forgot to move.

Just then, a strong hand grabbed her arm and yanked her forcefully to the side. Kirsten stumbled and fell to the ground. An instant later, with a deafening crash, the massive chandelier smashed into the spot where she had been standing, sending shards of crystal flying and shaking the very floor beneath her.

Still reeling from the shock, Kirsten lay on the ground and turned to see who had saved her. Alexander stood beside her, his face pale and his forehead beaded with cold sweat. The hand that had pulled her was still trembling slightly. Clearly, the effort had taken a toll on him.

"Are you alright?" Alexander asked, crouching down to look at her with calm eyes.

Kirsten shook her head, her voice trembling. "I… I'm fine. Thank you."

Alexander didn't say anything, simply offering a hand to help her up. They stood together, surveying the wreckage before them. The chandelier lay in a million pieces, surrounded by overturned tables and chairs. Guests were fleeing, some clutching arms that were bleeding from flying debris.

Lorie, her face white with terror, had thrown herself into Mr. Gaylord's arms and was sobbing uncontrollably.
