Her mind drifted back to when she was pregnant, when Alexander used to drop her off and pick her up just like that. "Danielle! You tell me the truth. What is this I'm hearing about Alexander getting engaged to that Lorie woman?" Kirsten’s voice was a rush of urgent concern, her indignation palpable even through the phone. "I just heard about it from someone yesterday. Has he lost his mind? After everything he put you through, now he pulls this!"
