The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 750

Danielle drew a deep breath, pressed accept, and switched her phone to speaker.

“Hello?”

There was a pause on the other end, a heavy silence that stretched for several seconds. Then a voice came through—distorted, metallic, almost scraping. “Good evening, Miss Crawford.”

Her fingertips tightened around the phone until her knuckles turned white.

“No need to be nervous. We just want to have a little chat.” The voice carried a chilling, almost playful malice.

“Let’s talk about the ‘Stardust III’ propulsion system you’ve been working on—about the fuel ratios, the thermal shielding parameters. Of course, if it’s inconvenient for you, we can always come visit in person.”

Danielle’s heart clenched, as if squeezed by an invisible fist. She could barely breathe.

They even knew the project’s codename.

“Who are you?” she demanded.

“That’s not important.” The caller’s tone was casual, almost bored. “What matters is that you have something we want.”

“Be smart. Hand over the data, and we’ll make sure you and your loved ones stay safe. Otherwise…”

A muffled noise echoed through the speaker, like someone banging on something hard.

Then Danielle heard it—a faint, broken sob. Her mother’s voice.

“What have you done to my mother?!” Danielle’s voice broke, panic rising.

“Calm down, Miss Crawford.” The caller laughed, the sound slick with satisfaction. “We just made her quiet down. She was being too noisy, and it’s not good for our…mood.”

There was a sudden interruption—Alexander’s voice, cold as steel. “Try laying a finger on her and see what happens.”

A brief pause, then a low chuckle. “Mr. Davidson is there too? How convenient.”

“So our intel was right after all. You are together—that saves us a trip.”

The caller’s tone shifted, turning icy. “You have thirty minutes. Gather the data and come to the alley behind the complex. Alone, no tricks. Otherwise, your mother’s going to suffer.”
