The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 615

I need to find something concrete against Leanne.

“Don’t worry too much. I’ll help you with this, and if there’s anything you need, just let me know.”

Nathan looked at her. “I’m not trying to threaten you. I’m just worried about Niki—she’s still a child…”

“Sometimes, we have to plan ahead. It’s better to be prepared.”

Danielle nodded. “Thank you for the reminder, Nathan. I’ll handle it.”

Nathan nodded back. “In the end, only the one who tied the knot can untie it. She’s hurt you now—what if, one day, she turns on your daughter?”

“All of this started because of Alex.”

Danielle paused for a moment.

“What do you mean?” she asked.

She and Alexander were already divorced.

“Do you really think that just because you’re divorced, everything’s over and done with?”

Danielle’s hands tightened almost imperceptibly.

Yes.

She had really believed that once they divorced, it would be a clean break. But some people just refused to let go.

That’s what made this so strange.

He used to seem like he wanted nothing to do with her, but lately, their paths kept crossing more and more.

Danielle took a deep breath, her thoughts a tangled mess. She didn’t want to dwell on this anymore.

After dinner, she cleared the plates and silverware.

That was when Alexander arrived.

“Nathan.” He walked in with a calm smile, arms loaded with all sorts of supplements.

He didn’t even glance at Danielle.

Nathan looked up. “You’ve been busy these past few days. Haven’t seen you around.”

Alexander’s expression stayed polite and detached. “Have you eaten?”

The implication was clear—women are all like that.

Nathan ignored the jab and went on, “I really don’t understand how you could let a wife like that go. Was it really just for another woman?”

He fixed Alexander with a serious look. “Tell me—if you divorced Dani for someone else, then why do you act like you don’t care when that woman runs into trouble?”

Outside the door, Danielle ran into a doctor and asked him to wait before going in.

As the doctor stepped away, Danielle paused, catching the conversation from inside. She froze, listening.

This was the question she’d been wanting to ask for so long.

Inside, there was a long silence.

Finally, Alexander answered, his voice cold and distant.

“You never used to care about my business. Why start now?”

Nathan looked at him. “I used to live overseas, and we weren’t that close. But now I’m back, living here with the Davidson family, of course I care about your relationships.”

“Dani is my dearest sister. If she gets hurt on your watch, it’s my responsibility to stand up for her.”
