The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 510

“Don’t bother stalling for time.”

The man made himself clear: he was here for one reason—to kill her.

And Danielle, from the very beginning, had only wanted to save her daughter.

“Just your daughter? Not your son too?”

Raffy’s face twisted in panic, dread washing over him until he seemed to shrink in on himself.

“No—please, my dad has so much money, anything you want! Just don’t kill me…”

“Do you want to save your daughter?” The man sneered, his voice low as he looked Danielle dead in the eye. “Your daughter’s nothing but a waste in this world, completely useless.”

“If you want her to live, hand over the core secrets of the Blackwood Research Institute. All of them.”

He didn’t need long to see what Danielle cared about most.

She’d never said a word about her son.

Danielle’s heart sank as she listened.

Every project at Blackwood was a matter of national security, tightly guarded secrets. Handing them over would be nothing short of treason.

And now, it was obvious what these people wanted: to get their hands on the core research.

“I’ll work for you—I can develop anything you want. People matter more than projects.”

She knew exactly how valuable she was. In any country, scientists were the real assets—the beating heart of innovation.

But the man just stared at her, cold and unmoved. “But the buyer wants you dead.”

“I’ll give you one minute. If you don’t hand over everything, you’ll watch your daughter die right in front of you.”

He checked his watch.

She’d been here less than an hour. It was eleven o’clock. Kirsten wouldn’t call the police until closer to noon.

Danielle’s lips went pale.

One of the masked men stepped toward Niki, a knife gleaming in his hand.

Time was running out.

“Ten seconds.”

The man grabbed Niki’s chin, forcing her head up.

“This blade will go right through her throat.”

Niki was trembling all over, tears streaming down her cheeks.

“Mom… Mom, don’t worry about me,” she choked out, her voice shaking. “Just go. Please, just go.”

Danielle’s eyes burned red.

One of the masked men, desperate, lunged at Danielle and Niki with his knife.

Danielle looked up and saw the whites of his eyes, bloodshot and wild with hatred.

Her heart pounded. She pulled Niki close and stumbled backward, her shoes slipping on the rough floor.

They both crashed to the ground.

Without thinking, Danielle wrapped herself around Niki, shielding her with her own body, her back to the attacker.

She squeezed her daughter tight and shut her eyes.

One second. Two seconds.

No pain. No blade.

Danielle opened her eyes, trembling.

She saw a silhouette—one she’d know anywhere.

A tall man stood before her, blocking her and Niki from harm. His tailored suit was slashed and torn, but he stood straight and unyielding, like a fortress.

His broad back rose and fell with harsh breaths.

“Go!” he said, glancing back at Danielle, urgency burning in his eyes.
