The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 346

“Mr. Liam means…”

Liam waved him off. “It’s nothing, Mr. Marshall. You go ahead and talk. Just pretend I’m not here.”

Saul was a bit baffled but managed to keep his composure. “Mr. Atwood, Ms. Crawford, if you’ll follow me?”

Compared to the bustling crowd over at Ninesky’s booth, things seemed much quieter around Millie’s team.

Still, since Alexander was sitting nearby, people would occasionally come over to greet him, which added a bit of liveliness to their side.

But not a single person was there for AetherX Dynamics.

AetherX Dynamics was still in its infancy, and after signing a disastrous deal with Mr. Linden, they’d managed some sales, but filling the financial hole left by that billion-dollar mistake wouldn’t be solved overnight.

What Millie needed now was more partners—and a serious influx of technical talent to push development forward.

Meanwhile, Ninesky was thriving, riding a wave of success that seemed almost effortless.

Trying to compete with Ninesky now felt more daunting than ever.

And to make matters worse, Danielle was still within Ninesky, basking in a spotlight that wasn’t really hers—her proximity to the R&D team let her soak up plenty of undeserved credit.

“Millie?” Liam glanced over, catching her troubled expression. “You alright?”

Millie shook her head.

Alexander cast her a cool look. “Not feeling well?”

“I’m fine, Alex.” Millie mustered a gentle smile. “What could possibly be wrong? It’s just that Ninesky’s brilliance today makes us look like their supporting cast.”

Just then, Leanne strode in, her heels clicking across the floor.

Right after the opening ceremony, Danielle was scheduled to give a keynote—a presentation on technological innovation.

She wore a crisp white blouse and tailored black slacks, her long hair swept back in a low chignon. Standing onstage, she looked slender and composed, her whole demeanor exuding a chilly poise.

The technical fluency of her talk was surprisingly convincing.

Alexander sat in the front row, his gaze fixed on her face, his eyes unreadable.

Leanne looked up at Danielle, a flash of surprise crossing her features.

“How did she end up onstage?”

Millie pressed her lips together. “Their company put her up there. It’s just a tech share—she’s reading off the team’s results. The real work’s been done; all she has to do is recite it.”

Liam chuckled under his breath. “Honestly, Auntie, she doesn’t look like someone who could pull off that kind of technical work. Yet she’s up there, all passionate and animated, acting like all those achievements are hers alone.”

Who’d have thought Danielle wasn’t just manipulative—she had a flair for self-promotion too.

She was using other people’s work to show off, as if the accolades belonged to her and her alone.

Every word landed squarely in Gian’s ear as he stood nearby.

Gian cast Liam a dispassionate glance. “If you’re so capable, why don’t you get up there yourselves? Ninesky would welcome a joint seminar with Cloudpath and AetherX Dynamics.”

She managed a smile. “Well, I’m not like you delicate girls. I’ve always been a bit of a tomboy—grew up doing this stuff. My mom used to joke she gave birth to the wrong gender.”

“Your presentation was impressive.” Millie looked Danielle right in the face; thanks to makeup, the slap mark from that morning’s argument at the hospital was completely concealed.

“How much are you hoping to get for the hospital incident? Name your price.”

“No need.” Danielle’s laugh was cold. “I don’t do private settlements.”

Leanne’s expression darkened.

Before she could say anything, a crowd gathered around Gian and Danielle, eager to pick their brains.

Millie clenched her fists in frustration.

She spoke up, “Ninesky and AetherX Dynamics are partners on this project. The success wouldn’t be possible without AetherX Dynamics. If anyone has questions about our work, I’d be happy to answer.”

Immediately, heads turned her way.

Leanne smiled. “In fact, my daughter was a lead on this project. The whole team signed with the government together—”

Millie followed up with a friendly nod. “Hello, I’m Millie Fletcher.”

There was a ripple of surprise through the crowd.

“So she’s the famous Miss Fletcher—the prodigy with two overseas doctorates, just returned. We’ve heard a lot about you.”
