The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 339

Vivian knew she couldn’t possibly support Danielle, let alone burden or trouble her further.

She’d never planned to tell Danielle about Clyde’s cancer—if only Danielle hadn’t stumbled upon the truth that night, Vivian would have kept it secret.

Now Vivian sat, tears streaming down her face, her voice caught in her throat. She wanted to speak but couldn’t get a word out.

That night, Danielle spent hours comforting her mother.

SoarCorp’s business had been progressing smoothly lately, and Danielle continued to deposit funds into the company account as usual.

She’d received a generous divorce settlement, so money was no longer an issue. Danielle had been quietly supporting SoarCorp for a while now, and at last, the company was starting to turn a corner.

“As for the company, you can hire a professional manager to oversee operations,” she explained to Vivian. “It’s stable enough now. There’s no need for you to handle every little thing yourself. I’ll personally oversee the hiring process.”

“All you’ll need to do is check in once a month—review project progress, look over the finances. That’s it.”

Once the business had truly stabilized, Vivian could finally step back.

Still, all this running around had left Vivian physically and emotionally drained.

Fortunately, SoarCorp’s AI project was innovative and technically solid. Thanks to that, they’d landed quite a few contracts—some clients even wanted to establish long-term partnerships.

Vivian nodded.

“Let’s move forward with it, then.”

Once she stepped back, she’d finally have the time to care for her brother, to make sure he had everything he needed—food, fresh clothes, company—so he wouldn’t be left alone in the hospital.

The nurse’s words from earlier still echoed in her mind, filling her with guilt for neglecting her brother lately. She’d been so caught up in work that she’d let things at the hospital slip.

But a hired aide could never replace family.

Clyde woke up the next morning.

“Mom, did you go out last night?” Niki asked, blinking up at her. “If you ever need to go somewhere, you can call me. I can make breakfast for myself, and I can take care of things here just fine. You don’t have to worry about me.”

She wanted to ease her mother’s burdens.

Niki understood her mom was busy with work, but no matter how busy she got, Danielle always made time to come home.

Danielle looked down at her daughter, her heart aching with love and guilt.

“It’s nothing,” she rasped. “Your great-uncle is sick, so I spent the night at the hospital with him.”

Her throat burned with every word, each swallow feeling like needles.

“Did you remember to take your medicine last night? Did you take it today?” Niki frowned, worried. “Maybe you should go to the clinic for an IV, just in case.”

Danielle ruffled Niki’s hair, forcing a reassuring smile behind her mask. “I’ll be fine,” she said.
