The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 262

“Hold on a second.”

Millie strode in just then, the door swinging shut behind her.

She had a contract in hand and walked straight toward Mr. Linden, her heels clicking confidently against the floor.

“Mr. Linden, we have a better offer for you, and on top of what they’re giving, we can increase your profit margin by five percent.”

She slid the contract onto the table in front of Mr. Linden. “Besides, we’re also partnered with them—this deal has the government’s backing.”

AetherX Dynamics wasn’t shy about showing off its deep pockets; whenever they entered negotiations, everyone at the table knew they could outbid the competition.

Every partner could be lured away.

She was openly bidding, no pretense.

Millie glanced at Gian, her expression apologetic. “Mr. Atwood, I’m sorry, but what Mr. Davidson is offering is just too generous. AetherX Dynamics is new to the market—we need to get a solid footing, and this deal is crucial for us.”

“We’re all business partners here. I’m sure you don’t mind a little healthy competition, right?”

She had no intention of making an enemy out of Gian.

With The Atwood Group behind him, he’d be just fine, no matter what happened.

Millie’s attitude toward him was, if anything, rather courteous.

Danielle didn’t spare Millie so much as a glance. Her eyes stayed locked on Mr. Linden. “Mr. Linden?”

Mr. Linden flashed a toothy smile and set Millie’s contract aside. “I’m sorry, but in business, it’s not about who shows up first—it’s about who brings the most to the table.”

His rejection couldn’t be clearer.

Millie arched a brow and reached out to shake Mr. Linden’s hand. “Good call.”

She turned, her gaze flickering to Danielle, her tone openly provocative. “Want to raise the stakes?”

No matter how much Ninesky raised, their resources couldn’t compare to Newsworld’s.

Danielle leaned back in her chair, calm and composed. “Sure. I’ll go up to fifteen percent.”

Millie’s eyes narrowed. Ninesky desperately needed this material. If they could secure the partnership, the project would take off, and, for now, Mr. Linden was the only supplier at their level in the market.

If Millie lost this round, she’d lose controlling interest in AetherX Dynamics.

After the dinner meeting, in the parking garage.

Millie caught up with Gian, intercepting him by the elevator.

She lowered her voice, trying to persuade him. “Mr. Atwood, even if Ninesky has the project’s core, they can’t manufacture without the supplier. If you remove Danielle and work with us instead, there’s still time to take the reins on this project together.”

“After all—the risk clause was Danielle’s doing, not yours. Don’t let Ninesky go under just because you’re being stubborn.”

Gian shot her a cool, guarded look, his brow furrowed as if he really was torn.

“Gian.” Danielle pulled the car up to the exit and called out to him.

Gian walked toward the car, but Millie called after him, “Take your time to think it over.”

It was clear losing the supplier had rattled him—a lot.

Give it a few days. The pressure would be too much for Gian to bear.

And when that happened, Danielle would be the first one Ninesky threw under the bus.
