The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 250

Every sleepless night, every painstaking hour poured into this project belonged to Ninesky.

There was no way they would just hand over the fruits of their labor simply because of a partnership.

Yet here they were, trying to take it all—blatantly, shamelessly.

Alexander was determined to please Millie, clearing every obstacle for her, disregarding the company’s interests as if nothing else mattered. He wanted to take everything for her.

Millie’s brow furrowed instinctively.

Liam’s expression grew even more severe.

What gave Danielle the right to speak for Ninesky? Even Gian, their major shareholder, hadn’t said a word yet.

Mr. Keeley noticed the subtle tension crackling between them.

“In the end, no matter who leads, we’re all partners in this. When the project succeeds, everyone walks away with credit,” he said, trying to ease the mood.

He continued, “Of course, Newsworld is the biggest investor here. It’s only fair they have some say.” His gaze drifted to Alexander, who’d sat calmly throughout, unruffled. “Mr. Davidson, perhaps you’d care to share your thoughts?”

He had a point.

With the government backing this project, Ninesky just didn’t have the resources to take it on alone. Their company was too small—at least for now.

But a partnership with Newsworld could put the project on a much bigger stage.

Besides, with a government-led initiative, the contracts were clean—no hidden traps.

Millie cut in, her voice steady as she looked straight at Gian. “Mr. Atwood is Ninesky’s largest shareholder, and he hasn’t said a word. So what gives Miss Crawford the right to make decisions on his behalf?”

Her meaning was clear—a thinly veiled jab at Danielle, questioning whether she was really qualified to make such calls, or if she was just overstepping.

Gian set down his copy of the contract and offered Millie a faint, indifferent smile, making no attempt to spare her dignity.

“Ms. Crawford is the technical backbone of our company. She has every right to speak for Ninesky—unlike some, who seem to need a man’s approval before doing anything.”

Millie’s expression hardened.

Her voice was icy. “Mr. Atwood, do you have some kind of personal grudge against me?”

Gian raised an eyebrow and smiled coolly. “A grudge? Did I say your name?”

In fact, it was almost impossible to persuade him.

“Ninesky has been developing this project from day one—why should we just give it away?”

A quiet chuckle slipped from Alexander’s throat, lazy and almost mocking.

“If it’s a partnership, how is it ‘giving it away’?”

Danielle could read the emotion in his eyes, however faint.

She sat up straighter, her tone crisp and precise. “If this is a collaboration, then with Ninesky at the helm, the project’s value will be doubled. Mr. Davidson, you’re a businessman—you should want to maximize returns, shouldn’t you?”

Her voice was unwavering, each word measured and confident—a reflection of her faith in the project.

She wasn’t rattled by the tension in the room.

Alexander glanced at her, nonchalant. “I’ve heard plenty of promises before.”

He crossed his legs, drumming his fingers lightly on the table, unhurried. “So tell me—how can you guarantee you’ll outperform AetherX Dynamics?”
