Could all of this really be a coincidence? It felt as if someone was pulling strings behind the scenes.

“I don’t care who’s behind this,” Kirsten said, her face cold. “I won’t let them get away with it.”

Gian nodded. “I’ll have my people look into anyone who has had recent contact with NextCore and Ninesky, especially any movements from Harold and Jake.”

Just as Gian was about to say more, Kirsten shot him a meaningful look. The red veins in Danielle’s eyes had spread to the corners, and her lips were completely devoid of color.
