"Oh?" Macsen looked at Renee, interested. "Is there a way to cause him pain? Well then, I'm all ears."
Renee looked at herself and Leia, then said, "I can tell you, but you need to let us go first. At least, let my friend go."
Macsen grew cold, and snorted, "Hmph! You can't negotiate terms with me. I think killing you both is enough to cause him pain. Men, do it!"
"No!"
Renee found Macsen's emotions to be very unsteady—he would turn hostile at any minute. Hence, she said patiently, "Okay, I won't ask you to let us go since you don't want to. At least tell us what terrible things Stefan has done that made you hate him so much. Maybe I'll pity you once you tell me. Then, I'll help you take revenge on him."
"Don't take me as a fool. You, help me take revenge on him?" Macsen glared at Renee.
Macsen wasn't so foolish to believe that a woman deeply in love with Stefan would betray him and work with his enemy to target him.
Then again, it would cause Stefan greater pain if his beloved woman betrayed him instead of getting killed.
After some consideration, Macsen told Renee, "I can tell you that. I'll let you know what an ungrateful bastard your beloved man is."
"Okay, I'm all ears."
Renee remained positive. Since she was tied up with a heavy sandbag around her feet, she sat on the ground and looked at Macsen curiously, as if eager to listen to a story.
Based on Macsen's words, Renee could guess the possible situation. Leia, however, was a moron and didn't know to read the room. She raised her hand, looking completely ignorant and foolish.
"May I ask how your girlfriend was tortured? What happened to her afterward?" she asked stupidly.
Her moronic questions naturally earned her a glare from Macsen. He looked like he wanted to tear her apart.
"Don't glare at me like that! You have to make yourself clear. How else could we help you judge the situation?" Leia insisted solemnly, making her stand. She wasn't terrified.
"Lei, stop talking," Renee muttered.
