"Mm, I know." Sinai pondered for a moment, "Do you know her?"
"Kind of." Charlotte said, "Our school eliminates quite a few students every year. As long as the annual assessment doesn’t meet the standard, they’ll be demoted. If they fall to D level, they’ll be automatically dismissed."
"She didn’t even pass the entrance assessment, and she’s always bragging about having attended Norton University."
Charlotte snorted.
If Annie had really gotten into Norton University, with her level, she would have had any memories of Norton University erased and been sent back to her country long ago.
Only then did Sinai realize that a certain person’s name was truly everywhere to her.
She paused for a moment, then looked away: "When do your principal’s classes start?"
"It’s only December now." Charlotte counted on her fingers, "The second semester is in March, and he only teaches one class a week."
Sinai remained silent for an instant.
Three more months to go.
If he doesn’t leave, can’t she at least avoid him?
At worst, she could stay in the office for three months without leaving.
Charlotte was curious: "Teacher, do you want to audit a class? I think you could apply for a professor position at our school."
"No." Sinai paused, the image of those dark green eyes flashed through her mind, and her expression turned instantly emotionless, "I don’t want to work for bloodsucking capitalists."
Charlotte: "???"
Their principal, a bloodsucking capitalist?
As the two were chatting, suddenly, the sound of urgent footsteps arose.
In a matter of seconds, members of the Oversight Team surrounded Sinai’s office.
Sinai looked up, her eyes narrowing.
Annie, disheveled and still in the same clothes, was trembling.
"She’s carrying a gun!" Annie pointed at Sinai, "She doesn’t even have a gun permit! And she’s not part of the Oversight Team! I suspect she’s an undercover sent by another force to assassinate the professors!"
As she spoke, her teeth were chattering.
Sinai’s gun-handling skills were too deft.
If she hadn’t been specially trained, how could she have those techniques?
The leader of the Oversight Team stepped forward, signaling a team member to take the silver gun from the desk: "May we inspect it?"
Although phrased politely, it was clearly a firm request.
Sinai nodded: "Go ahead."
