"...leen, COLLEEN!" a voice screeched in my ear making me groan. I glared at the culprit none other than Lilly.

"What?" I groaned feeling tired.

"We're Gonna be late wake up!" she made my eyes widen. I fell asleep? sighing in fatigue, I jumped out of bed and dragged my feet to the bathroom, I washed my face, fixed my make up a bit. My dress looked fine.

I brushed my teeth and spayed my perfume. I walked out and Lilly wolf whistled at My appearance. "I can tell you now, you look sexy! Whooo" she cheered.

I smiled and hooked my arm with hers. We walked out the door, after I said farewell to my mother. She wished me luck and hoped I had a great time. I smiled as I walked out the house, locking the door behind me.

**10 minutes later...**

Well this is it! A party! Note my sarcasm.

We looked at the hall that blasted with music, I guess they started my own birthday party without me, what a pack. To be honest, not everyone liked me, they only pretended to like me because I was friends with Lilly.

We walked in and everyone shouted surprise! Wow, at least they know whose birthday it is.

I thanked them and Lilly brought a cake before me. I blew out the candles and smiled. I hope to find my mate soon. I just hope.

And alas my prayers were answered. A beautiful mouth watering scent cause my attention. Finally. It's him. My wolf kept stirring and howling in my head, and I just knew it was him.

I walked through the crowded part and up the stairs of the venue. Into a dark room. A low lustful growl caught me by attention.

"I've been waiting for you." the voice said. I gasped in shock as I came face to face with my mate. He was none other than the alpha if our pack. My alpha.

"y-you can't be, how?" I questioned. I'd rather be paired up with a rat than him. He is a player and not only that he is not mate worthy.

"I guess the moon goddess paired us. Isn't that how?" he mocked me a little, chuckling to himself.

"I Refuse to be paired up with the likes of you" I spat. He grabbed my wrists and pinned me to the wall.

"I know, but it can't be changed can it?" I said to him. He looked so pale, but shook it off.

"I can't change last night, but I'll change right now. " my eyes snapped up. I looked at him in shock. He wouldn't. "I Alpha Reese Gold, of the blue moon pack, reject you, Colleen Daniel as my mate." I felt everything shatter, my heart, my hopes, my dreams and mostly my mate.

"why? why would you do that? " I questioned him. "You can't just sleep with someone then throw them aside like trash." I yelled, but he smirked but it wasn't quite reaching his eyes.

"But my dear, I just did. I can't accept an omega, a maid as my mate and I won't except someone like you as my mate. Never. " he concluded.

I don't know why, but right then tears brimmed out of my eyes, and it was as if I could hear them fall onto the ground. Why was this happening? I know I didn't want him to be my mate, but I would have given it a try.

Once a player always a player." I grabbed a pillow and threw it directly at his face with force. Pathetic, I know, but nothing could explain the pain I was going through. I put my clothes on quickly and turned to him while tears fell out of my eyes.

"Just drop dead and die, I can't believe the moon goddess would pair me up with such a jerk. See if care anymore!" I talked turning out of the room, and down the street home.

Life is very unfair. We never should have met. I should have never had a mate. I should have been given happiness in spite of pain. Why was all this misfortune happening to me? I regret ever having this birthday.
