Chapter 5269
“Emory,” Harvey said, narrowing his eyes.
“For Osman’s sake… I’ll give you one more chance to speak. If someone is forcing you to talk like this, I’ll make sure you’re well-protected.”
Emory clearly had a plan when she tried to humiliate Harvey…
Yet, he still wanted to give her a chance.
Other than wanting to calm everyone down, Harvey didn’t want too much trouble to happen at Quill’s funeral.
“You’ll give me a chance?” Emory sneered.
She had nothing but disdain on her face.
“Who do you think you are? You’re not from Heaven’s Gate, nor are you my senior! How are you not shameless for saying things like that?!
“Are you threatening me with my family’s life, now that I’m standing up against you?!
“Let me tell you something! Justice will always prevail!
“If I lower my head in front of trash like you, Heaven’s Gate’s history will be done for!”
Emory crossed her arms.
“I’ve made my statement! If you’re not happy about it, then kill me already!”
Alani clapped, then looked at Harvey with a smile.
“We have all the proof we need, Representative York. Everyone can see what you’ve done!
“That said, there’s always a second chance!
“Alani! Shut your mouth!”
Prince’s face darkened; he couldn’t hold himself any longer.
“How did Father bring up such a heinous woman like you?
“We finally managed to prove his innocence…
“It’s bad enough that you’re not here to send him off! And yet, you’re still trying to distort the truth on the day of his funeral!
“Where is your heart? Did the family use all that money to raise a pig?! Don’t forget! Father was the one who funded your expenses when you studied in the Island Nations!”
“Expenses? That measly hundred and fifty thousand dollars?” Alani’s face was filled with ridicule.
“I’ll pay him back tenfold right now!”
She waved her hand; someone in the back opened a leather case and waved it around. Colorful pieces of paper covered the sky.
