Chapter 3928
Harvey York returned to rest after he was done with his business.
On the next day, early in the morning, Katy Cobb came over to his villa to have a chat over breakfast. A security guard jogged over to report Harvey about something.
“Sir York, there’s a man at the front door. His hands are covered in plasters.
“He said his name is Gael Padlow. He’s here to ask you and Ms. Cobb for forgiveness.”
Harvey cracked a calm smile.
“Ask for forgiveness? Interesting…”
Katy froze. She did not know what happened last night for Gael to come all the way here just to apologize.
But since she was a smart woman, she only smiled without saying another word.
“Come on. Let’s have a look outside.”
Harvey took a sip of his drink while he walked to the front door.
A man was seen kneeling in the courtyard.
He was kneeling with his back up straight. He did not even dare move a single inch.
Compared to last night, his dominance from the Lost City Bar was nowhere to be seen.
He seemed extremely miserable. His eye sockets were clearly showing. He did not even close his eyes since the night before.
After seeing Harvey and Katy show up, Gael’s eyes twitched in fear.
He could guess why Harvey got his subordinates to look for him before.
After spending his entire night pleading guilty, he came all the way here early in the morning to beg for forgiveness.
He was scared that he would disturb Harvey’s rest, but he was terrified that he would not be able to survive past ten o’clock.
After sizing up Gael for a moment and taking a sip of his drink, Harvey showed a faint smile.
“Is there something you’d like to tell me this early in the morning?”
“They said they’d split one-third of the assets with me when everything’s all done!
“They even let me do whatever I want with you too!
“I didn’t want to do this in the first place, but that was just a lot of money…”
Katy sighed.
“The Cobb family? Be specific. Who was it that told you to do this?”
Gael’s mouth twitched before he gritted his teeth.
“Grandma Cobb.
“If it weren’t her, I wouldn’t believe the family’s words.
“Your actions yesterday made her completely infuriated. That was why she wanted to deal with you first….”
Katy’s body swayed before she bitterly chuckled with a horrible expression on her face.
