But she quickly shook her head. She believed that Conrad couldn't know the truth. No one could because she had taken precautions.

"What-what do you mean, Conrad?" Lillee asked, only for his hand gripping her throat to tighten, which made her cough and gasp for breath. Even though Jane wanted to interfere and come to Lillee's aid, Conrad shook his head, which made her have no choice but to go into the house.
