The Rise of a Master It Starts With Rejection novel Chapter 913

A chubby little baby danced with joy in front of the camera. His round face and big eyes made him utterly adorable.

Felix knew that was him as a child, and the voice that followed sent a shiver down his spine. It was the kind of voice every child would cheer for—the voice of a loving mother.

"Honey, look! It seems like our son knows today's a special day. Just look at how happy he is," a man said.

As the camera pulled back, two faces came into view.

The man was handsome, and it was easy to tell it was Victor. However, the woman…

Felix was captivated. This was what beauty truly meant. For the first time, he understood the true meaning of the word.

While it's true that the woman with the most perfect looks so far was Zara, the woman in the video was the kind of beauty that would stay with one forever, especially when combined with an incomparable maternal glow. It was beyond words.

"Is this really my biological mother?"

Just as the family was immersed in their joyful moment, the door suddenly crashed open. Victor leapt to his feet, blocking the camera, and all that could be heard was a voice cutting through.

"Who are you?"

"I've been looking for you for so long. I never expected you'd end up in the capital."

"Layne, I have no relationship with my family anymore. Please, just pretend you didn't see me, okay?"

"That's not up to you. Wait! You two have already had a child? You've got some nerve!"

A sickening sound followed.

Several blood holes appeared on Victor's back, visible in the shot.

Felix couldn't bring himself to decide. He didn't know if he should forgive them.

Several minutes later, Nala entered and placed a note on the table. "This is the location of Victor's grave."

With that, she left. She left Felix to decide whether he would go or not and what he would ultimately choose to think. That wasn't something she could persuade him on.

The next day, Felix and the others were on a business trip in a Mercedes Vito, heading toward the outskirts of Yartford.

"They just said to go to the foot of the mountain. Could it be that we're supposed to have a duel at the summit? That can't be right, especially with so many people," Melissa said. She looked at the address, confused.

"Girl, you don't understand, do you? Do you know why that nameless mountain in Yartford's outskirts is under military control? Do you really think there are troops stationed there or some secret research happening? No, that's not it at all!"
