“Come out and face me if you dare. Otherwise, stop barking like a dog!” Felix snapped. 

The voice vanished. 

Felix quickly asked, “Can you tell me what sect Candace exposed?” 

Alistair remained silent, unwilling to speak. 

Xena hesitated for a while before using voice transmission to say, “It’s Abyssal Surge Sect. But you must keep this to yourself.” 

She chose to confide in Felix because she had absolute trust in him. 

Felix thought, “Abyssal Surge Sect–the second of the top super sects. Those bastards really have some nerve.” 

He then asked, “So, with no actual evidence, I take it Abyssal Surge Sect is untouched?” 

Xena sighed in frustration. “Yes. We can’t act on Candace’s testimony alone. Even if they were a minor sect, we’d still need evidence before taking any steps.” 

Felix sneered. It made sense now why someone would risk reaching out to him via voice transmission, trying to pressure him into fabricating evidence. They knew there was no proof. 

Even if he told Xena about the transmission, it wouldn’t change anything–there was still 

no evidence. 

An hour later, a cheeky voice echoed as Billy strolled in, “Here comes Mr. Stefan!” 

Before he could say anything to Felix, his eyes landed on Xena. “Wow! So this is the famous Phoenix Warlord! I finally got to meet you in person! Hi, I’m Billy Stefan, the expert Felix brought in.” He extended his hand to her. 

Feeling a wave of irritation, Felix stepped forward and shook Billy’s hand instead, positioning himself between Billy and Xena. “Nice to meet you. Now, can we get down to business?” 

Xena couldn’t help but chuckle softly, sensing Felix was a little jealous. Seeing Felix react so strongly to something as simple as a handshake, Xena felt a warm, fluttering feeling in her chest. 

Billy pouted, clearly annoyed. “Hey, hey! What’s with the attitude? It’s not like the Phoenix Warlord is yours or anything. Step aside!” He shoved Felix aside and reached for Xena’s hand again. 

“Thank you for coming, Mr. Stefan,” Xena said shaking his hand.

“The pleasure’s all mine. Just doing my part as a responsible citizen.” Billy smiled. 

Felix, on the other hand, was fuming, muttering curses in his mind, “That’s enough, you fatso. Let go of her hand already. And how dare you rub your thumb against hers? Damn you, Billy!” 

“Since you’re doing your duty as a citizen, does that mean we can forget about the dojo?” Felix chimed in./ 

That was definitely out of the question for Billy. 

He finally released Xena’s hand, knowing he shouldn’t push his luck. 

“Rewards encourage motivation, don’t they? Anyway, let me have a look at the corpses,” Billy said, his demeanor becoming serious as he got to work. 

After examining several corpses, he abruptly turned around, preparing. “Well, there’s nothing I can do here. Got to go.” 

Everyone was caught off guard by his abruptness. 

Felix quickly blocked his path and asked, “What the hell, Billy?” 

Billy snapped back, “Damn it, Felix! You told me it was Necrobound, but it’s actually a Skybound Revenant! Do you have any idea how different they are? I’m not ready to die, and I definitely don’t want to die in the arms of a Skybound Revenant.” 

Xena and Alistair were overjoyed. Clearly, Billy knew what he was talking about–he’d figured out the culprit was a Skybound Revenant just from looking at the corpses. He was definitely an expert. 

But no matter how hard Felix tried to convince him, Billy insisted on staying out of it and kept marching toward the exit. 

Felix panicked. He hadn’t anticipated such a turn of events. Desperate, he blurted out, One meal with Dreamscape!” 

A gust of wind blew past. Billy, who had been several miles away, reappeared in front of Felix in the blink of an eye, his chubby body still shaking from the sprint.
