“Mr. Gray, 1… I’m a subordinate of Jason,” the group leader said. 

“Get lost!” 

The simple command was delivered with such lethal force that it was like a bomb exploding. 

The group leader took two steps back in fear. As he quickly retreated, he said, “Yes, yes! Thank you, Mr. Gray!” 

In an instant, all the troublemakers scattered, and everyone in the store turned their attention to Isabella. Even her manager was left in utter shock. 

Isabella really did know Kurt. With just one phone call, she solved such a huge problem. 

Even Isabella herself couldn’t believe it. She quickly ran over and handed the phone back to Felix. 

Thank you, Felix. I really don’t know what I would have done without you.” 

She wondered what kind of person Nelly’s friend was, that he was even acquainted with Kurt Gray. On top of that, Kurt had even addressed him very respectfully. 

There were plenty of people who could afford a Range Rover, but only a few knew Kurt. The difference in status between the two groups was like night and day. 

“You’re welcome, but remember not to bluff so casually again. Words can bring disaster, and not every time will you be this lucky,” Felix advised. 

Isabella immediately agreed, promising never to blurt out things like that again. Casual words or bluffs could be taken seriously by others. Once caught in the trap of your words, there would be no turning back. 

After everything had settled down and having thanked Felix, Nelly awkwardly spoke up. 

“Felix, Ms. Larrington, Isabella would like to treat you to a meal to thank you for choosing her as your salesperson. Would that be okay?” 

Nelly expected to be turned down, but Queenie smiled and agreed. “Sure, I just arrived in Gray City and don’t have anything planned. It depends on what Felix says.” 

Since Queenie was a neighbor and seemed to get along well with Willow, Felix couldn’t refuse once she agreed. 

“Yeah, I also have time. A simple meal will do.” 

After lunch, the two cars were cleaned up, and all the paperwork was finished. As the vehicles drove away, Isabella suddenly kissed Nelly on the cheek.

“Wow, Nelly! Felix is amazing! He’s so young, so handsome, so rich, and well–connected. Do you have something going on with him?” 

Nelly rolled her eyes. “Nonsense! He was my client in the past, and now I guess you could say we’re friends. I don’t have feelings for him. Even if I did, one has to be realistic.” 

Isabella pursed her lips. While Nelly seemed to brush it off, there was still a trace of admiration in her eyes. 

“If only all of us could be as clear–headed as you. Anyway, you should spend more time with Felix. It’ll be good for you,” Isabella said. 

When they were nearing the clinic, Felix was surprised to find that the road ahead was blocked. They were still a street away from the clinic. 

“There’s a temporary roadblock ahead. Please make a detour.” 

Although the officers on the scene were traffic police, Felix’s keen eyes noticed soldiers with firearms in the area. This could only mean something very serious happened, or soldiers wouldn’t have been deployed. 

“Excuse me, what’s the extent of the roadblock? I want to check if my clinic is within the restricted area.” 

If it were, they would have to turn back. 

“What’s the name of your clinic?” 

“Tranquil Clinic.” 

At once, the traffic cop’s expression changed. He immediately reached for his radio. Felix furrowed his brow. Did this large–scale roadblock have something to do with his clinic?
