Felix let out a bitter laugh, thinking, “Aren’t I just as guilty?” 

Overconfidence was a flaw, and today, he had fully realized it. He had already experienced Zara’s perfection in his dreams, so he should have known how terrifyingly overwhelming her allure could be. Yet, here they were. 

Silas soon departed with his spirits crushed, leaving Felix to return to the villa. 

Sitting on the living room couch, he softly called out, “Karina.” 

As expected, Karina appeared across from him, as if out of thin air. 

“So, you’ve finally crossed that line?” 

Her tone was calm, not reflecting the turmoil that would typically accompany the eruption of the Twinshade Body. 

“Yes,” Felix admitted. “I overestimated myself. Karina, could you please contact Mr. Hoffman? Perhaps I don’t have the right to claim responsibility for everything, but whatever consequences there are, I won’t avoid them.” 

Without another word, Karina dialed a number and, after a brief exchange, handed the phone to Felix. 

“You brat!” Gerald said. “Three years in Eden Village surrounded by nine breathtakingly beautiful fellow apprentices, and you still couldn’t resist temptation? Where did all your training go?” 

Gerald’s harsh scolding came through loud and clear. Felix could only sigh internally. 

“The situation is what it is, and yes, I was overconfident,” Felix admitted. “But, Mr. Hoffman, Zara left a note when she left. These are her words. Do you think she has a chance of succeeding?” 

There was a brief silence on the other end of the line before his mentor responded. 

“Well, there’s a 50-50 chance. The eruption of the Twinshade Body is instantaneous. If she was able to leave such a note, it means she still had some measure of rationality. However, it’s not that simple. 

“We’ll just have to wait and see. For now, go about your life as usual. If she can’t suppress it, modern technology will quickly reveal the damage. When that happens, I’ll personally come and clean up your mess!” 

When Felix remained silent, Gerald’s tone softened slightly. 

“Of course, there’s a silver lining. If Zara manages to suppress the Twinshade Body, the benefits are immense. Once a woman with this constitution forms a bond, she’ll only ever

With that, the call ended, leaving Felix with a wry smile. He would be eternally grateful if Zara could suppress her condition and ensure no harm was caused. He had no energy left to consider anything else. 

“Do you know why I came to Gray City?” Karina asked a few minutes later. 

Her question broke Felix’s train of thought, but his mood had improved somewhat, thanks to Gerald’s words. “I don’t.” 

“Actually, I planned to meet you tomorrow.” 

“Meet me?” Felix was puzzled. “Do you have any instructions for me?” 

He had crossed the line in his attempt to allow Zara to escape. 

Karina rose to her feet and approached him. 

“Dahlia asked me to come. Since you’re here in Gray City, she wanted you to handle something for her. Of course, it’s not without compensation. Take this phone.” 

She handed him a phone and continued, “It has a single number saved in it. You can only use it once. Call that number if you encounter a problem you can’t solve alone. Dahlia will come to help you.” 

“Dahlia?” Felix took the phone in disbelief. He was about to ask more when his own phone suddenly rang. 

The caller ID showed it was Alistair, and Felix felt his heart immediately sink. 

He had called Alistair earlier, telling him to notify him immediately if there was any major incident involving casualties in Dragonia. So, this call could only mean one thing.
