Melissa’s outfit at that moment was enough to make almost any man lose his composure. 

She wore a tight, white nurse’s uniform that hugged every curve of her body. The top had only three buttons, barely containing what it needed to, and with her figure somewhere between a D and E cup, it created quite the spectacle. 

As for the skirt, it stopped just at the top of her thighs, paired with black stockings that did not leave much to the imagination–it was something straight out of a man’s fantasy. 

Five minutes later, Melissa returned to the room with a breezy attitude. 

“You men are so weird,” she said, shaking her head. “That guy was sweating bullets from pain and still asked for my number!‘ 

Felix’s expression darkened instantly. “Melissa, are you seriously planning to work in that?

Felix’s eye twitched as he forced himself to get straight to the point. “Where the hell did you even get that uniform?” 

Melissa pointed toward the street with complete sincerity. “That adult store down the road. It’s all nurse outfits, so I didn’t think there’d be a difference!” 

Felix could only shake his head. If nurses in any hospital dressed like her, it would not matter how skilled the doctors were–every department would be packed, guaranteed. 

“No actual nurse dresses like that,” Felix said firmly. “Go change. If you’re going to work here, just wear regular clothes.” 

“Sure!” Melissa gave an innocent shrug and left the room. 

Felix exhaled deeply, finally feeling some relief. He could only imagine the chaos if he let her strut around the clinic in that getup. 

Forget fancy cars or celebrity endorsements–his clinic would have lines around the block within three days. And it would not matter if people were sick or not; they would line up just for a chance to walk through the door. 

By the end of the workday, not a single patient had shown up. Felix was not surprised, but Melissa was downright offended. 

Melissa grumbled, “What’s going on? Are you really running a legit practice? I’ve never seen a clinic this dead–not even a vet’s office!! 

“Closing time,” Felix said curtly, flipping the sign and locking the door.

As they stepped outside, Felix noticed Nelly waiting a short distance away. Before he could react, Melissa nudged his arm and gave him a teasing smirk.

Felix rolled his eyes. “If you can’t say something useful, keep your mouth shut. See your tomorrow.”

Felix, expecting another invitation to dinner or some cliché gesture, was genuinely surprised to find the meal. He said, “Thank you. I’m quite a big fan of cold pasta salad. I’ll definitely try them out later.” 

Nelly’s demeanor brightened a little. “Great! If you like them, let me know anytime. My mom raised me selling these from a food cart, so I think I inherited a decent skill at making them.” 

Later that evening, Felix returned home, his stomach growling faintly. He unpacked the pasta, appreciating how everything–sauces and toppings–was neatly portioned in small bags. 

He felt his taste buds light up when he took his first bite.
