In a secluded forest in Dragonia, Sarah suddenly sat up from her sleep, a mysterious smile slowly spreading across her face. She mused, “Well, well, things are moving faster than I expected… The real show is about to begin.” 

The next morning, Xena playfully shoved Felix away. “You jerk, stop it! I need to get to work!” 

Thanks to her martial arts training and enhanced stamina, she was able to get up at all- most women would not have been able to move after such an intense first time, especially after a night of passion. 

“Alright. We’ll continue at my place tonight,” Felix teased. “Though I seem to remember someone being quite vocal-” 

She quickly covered his mouth before he could finish, her face flushed with embarrassment as she rushed out. The memories of last night’s passion were still fresh in her mind, making her heart race. 

Like any woman experiencing intimacy for the first time, she had found herself caught up in the moment. Now that she had finally found her true love, both her body and soul felt completely content. 

After Xena left, Felix examined himself and noticed that the mark Sarah had left was indeed gone–she had not been lying, after all. 

At lunch in a restaurant in Canraville, Jack eyed Felix suspiciously. “Damn! You seem different after your trip to Canraville… Or am I imagining things?” 

Felix pushed the whiskey toward Jack with a laugh. “What are you? A woman? You’re being too sensitive. Less talking, more drinking!” 

Jack smacked his lips thoughtfully. “Come on! You never invite people for drinks at noon. Something big must have happened–spill it, or I’m leaving.” 

Knowing he could not hide anything from his best friend, Felix came clean. “I have a girlfriend now, and we’ll probably be getting married soon.” 

Jack was stunned. “Are you serious? Isn’t that moving pretty fast?” 

Felix nodded confidently. “It’s absolutely true! But I’m keeping her identity a secret for now. When the time’s right, we’ll all have dinner together. I promise you’ll be in for a big surprise.”

He had not forgotten Jack’s jaw–dropping reaction when he first saw Xena, and he could 

wait to see his face when he found out. 

“That’s awesome! We definitely need to drink to that!” Jack exclaimed. “Oh, and by the way, Nessa and I have set our wedding date, too. Everything’s happening in two weeks.” 

Two hours later, after mostly talking and only light drinking, Jack was slightly tipsy while Felix remained completely sober. Jack asked, “Leaving already?” 

Felix could not hide his lovesick smile. “I need to stop by the grocery store. I’m cooking a special dinner for my girlfriend tonight.” 

Jack gave him a mock–wounded look. “Man, you really did forget about your bros once you got a girl.” 

“Oh, shut up!” Felix laughed. 

At the Wolfie troops headquarters, Alistair was giving Xena his daily report. After reviewin it, she commented, “Everything looks good.” 

Sensing something different, Xena asked, “Is there anything else?” 

Alistair snapped out of his thoughts. “No, it’s just… you seem different today somehow.” 

Fighting back a blush, Xena quickly dismissed Alistair. After he left, she checked herself in the mirror and had to admit there was something different about her today. She realized that a woman truly did bloom when properly loved. 

“Lady Summers, you have a letter,” an aide announced shortly after, delivering an envelope before departing. 

Though it had no return address, Xena always read everything she received. As the Phoenix Warlord, she often got anonymous tips from citizens, so she could not ignore any correspondence. 

Inside the envelope was just a USB drive. When she plugged it into her computer and saw a video file, her heart suddenly started racing, and an overwhelming sense of dread washed over her.
