The little girl reached out toward the woman again. 

Furious, the woman recoiled, clearly unwilling to let her pristine white dress accumulate more smudges. She raised her hand and slapped the child. “Get lost! Where’s security?” 

Felix intervened, pulling the little girl out of the way before the slap could land. “It’s already dirty. I’ll compensate you for it. She must’ve mistaken you for someone else—it wasn’t intentional. There’s no need to be so harsh.” 

Seeing the little girl’s pitiful state reminded Felix of the children harmed by Polaris. How could he stand idly by?

“Pretending to pay? Disgusting!” The woman scoffed before stepping into the elevator and disappearing. 

The little girl had also vanished without a trace.

“Who knows? At least he’s got some conscience. If he doesn’t want a phone, he doesn’t toss it randomly. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have been able to recover ours.” 

A notorious thief? Felix’s curiosity was fully ignited. After all, even he hadn’t sensed his phone being stolen.
