Leslie’s face turned red again after hearing Felix’s words. Recalling the wild moment they shared, she felt a longing to experience it once more but forced herself to suppress those 

urges. 

“Stop joking around. Didn’t you say you would introduce me to an apprentice? Bring her over,” Leslie instructed. 

“Alfight.” 

After his call with Alistair, Felix was about to say something when Leslie placed a finger on his lips. 

“You don’t need to make me any promises. I understand your situation.” 

Felix felt moved that his fellow apprentices truly understood him. In comparison, Xena seemed to lack in that aspect. 

Just half an hour later, Alistair rushed in with his sister. “Yara, thank Dr. Zeller for saving your life.” 

Having been unconscious previously, Alistair sincerely appreciated Felix’s help. 

“No need to thank me. Have my fellow apprentice take a look at her first.”

“Absolutely! I can guarantee that. However, once she agrees to become my apprentice, she must leave with me immediately, as her condition is serious. It will take at least six months before she can reunite with you,” Leslie replied. 

Alistair sighed with relief and clasped his hands in gratitude. “Then I entrust my sister to you.”

The driver shot a cold glance back. “Tell Andrei that Perry Glover, president of the Goldwind Chamber of Commerce, is here to see him. It is an urgent matter. 

The guard’s expression soured. “Who do you think you are to name–drop my employer? You’ve got some nerve. Do you think I’m dumb enough to wake him up just because you said a name? Get lost!” 

Being scolded by a mere guard made Perry’s body tremble with anger. Ever since his son died, he hadn’t been able to calm down. 

“You know what? Now that I think of it, since you’re so important, why didn’t you just call my master? Do you not have his contact information?” 

The other guards laughed, thinking that Perry was an idiot. If he really had the connections, they would have already received a notification to open the door instead of having to play this ridiculous game at this hour 

Perry took a deep breath and pulled something out of his pocket. It was a remote. 

“Take a look in the back seat.” 

Instinctively, the guard leaned in for a glance, and his eyes widened in horror. The back seat was filled with explosives. 

“Notify Andrei immediately, or I’ll detonate it! After all, I’m all alone in this world. There’s nothing worth holding onto,” Perry shouted.
