The moment the auctioneer confirmed the Miracle Card’s authenticity, the room erupted. The once–quiet auction hall was buzzing with discussion. After all, the power and value of a Miracle Card were impossible to ignore. 

“F–Felix actually traded a Miracle Card for Moon’s Tear?” Yvonne stuttered, dumbfounded by Felix’s decision. 

As Nala said before, Yvonne also thought it was simply short–sighted of Felix to do so. With the right strategy, a Miracle Card could yield an unimaginable return. 

For instance, the Kinsley family from Avesburgh had been wise. 

They made a spectacle of auctioning off a Miracle Card, which caught the attention of Moonshadow Alliance. Consequently, they had gone from being a small local name to a recognized force in Yartford, gaining a foothold in record time. Hence, Yvonne regarded Felix’s move as a waste. 

Nala’s disappointment was palpable. “If you don’t have anything worth keeping in Avesburgh, don’t bother going back,” she told Yvonne coldly. 

Yvonne could sense her frustration. If Nala had the Miracle Card, she could have achieved so much more. Yet, Felix had traded such a valuable item for something so trivial. 

“Miss, I have a few things to get. So, I’ll make a quick trip back,” Yvonne replied.

Yvonne let out a quiet sigh of relief. It was clear that after this, Nala no longer had any interest in Felix, and given their difference in status, it was unlikely their paths would cross again. 

Down in the auction hall, chaos reigned. Wealthy bidders shouted offers at Felix, desperate to acquire the Miracle Card for themselves. 

“Young man, do you understand what you’re giving up? No matter how rare Moon’s Tear is, it’s nothing compared to the Miracle Card! Name your price; I’ll give you anything for it! 

“I’ll give you anything you want!” 

“Sell it to me! I need that Miracle Card–with it my loved one would rio longer be bedridden!” 

The security guards struggled to maintain order as the crowd surged forward. 

George sat beside Felix, utterly dumbfounded. He could not believe he had been sitting next to someone with a Miracle Card all this time.

The crowd reluctantly settled down, aware of the auction house’s powerful and mysterious backers. Soon after, the auctioneer received word through his earpiece. 

“The seller has made their decision. Moon’s Tear goes to the gentleman with the Miracle Card.” 

A collective groan sounded from the crowd as it was an obvious conclusion. After all, the requirement to win the bid was to secure a renowned master healer, and a Miracle Card was as good as summoning a miracle doctor. In all of Dragonia, no one could claim better skills. 

As Felix’s expression lit up with a satisfied smile, George could not help but chuckle wryly. “Felix, you really gave me the shock of a lifetime. I’m surely getting an earful from my dad when he finds out.” 

Felix laughed. “I owe you one for getting me in here. You’ll see the payoff soon enough.” 

With that, he stood to leave. Now that he had Moon’s Tear, he was eager to return to Avesburgh and begin Curtis‘ treatment.
