Seeing how pitiful he looked, Alice decided not to tease him any further.

“I didn’t mean anything by it. Mr. Eric and I have a few personal things to take care of. You don’t need to tag along.”

Daniel’s eyes lit up.

“A date?”

Alice thought about it for a second. “It might be.”

Daniel nearly jumped three feet into the air.
