"Just you wait. I'll make my move in a few days," Megan said.
Jeanne grew excited and laughed. "I can hardly wait, Megan. With the way Nolan feels about you, he'll come with his tail wagging with just a single gesture from you.
"When that time comes, Audrey will definitely be crying her eyes out. Haha!
"So, what should we do now? Should we still approach Audrey and mess with her?" Jeanne asked.
Megan glanced at the time before looking at Nolan's and Audrey's retreating figures. She narrowed her eyes slightly. "Since we have some free time now, why not use it to prepare for our plans? Let's have a little chat with them.
"Come on, Jeanne. Let's meet the two who just had their moment in the spotlight. They must be feeling pretty proud of themselves right now and boasting about earlier. Let's go burst their bubble."
With that, Megan and Jeanne got into their car and sped up to Nolan and Audrey.
At that same moment, Nolan and Audrey were strolling down the street, their striking good looks and elegant attire drawing the gaze of everyone they passed.
"Audrey, if it's too much, we should probably get a ride back. You look too stunning today. Almost everyone is staring at you."
Audrey chuckled. "It's fine. I don't mind them looking at all. In fact, it makes me happy to have them see us walking together."
Audrey meant every word she said. Walking arm in arm with Nolan like this was something she had dreamed of countless times.
"Oh, Nolan, you're quite something, aren't you? You might have fooled Audrey and all those people at the auction, but did you think you could fool me?
"Your actions today were a deliberate attempt to draw my attention and make me believe I had missed out on your supposed brilliance, weren't they?
"But let me tell you, I saw right through your little game. All of this was just a coincidence. You're merely riding on the Baxter family's coattails. Are you going to deny it?"
Megan then turned to Audrey and sneered. "Audrey, Nolan was bragging about how incredible he was earlier, wasn't he? Hah! You're such an idiot. It's all a scam. After all, this whole charade is paper-thin.
"Nolan, do you have the guts to spill the truth? To admit that all of this was just part of your meticulous plan? That you're nothing but a fraud? You should just admit to Audrey that everything you've done was all for me!"
