Nolan leaned back on the sofa, his voice calm and casual. "Oh, really?"
"Alright then. I'm the kind of person who loves granting wishes."
"I'll give you three chances."
He turned his gaze to Ironhead and ordered, "Pick up the blade and sever his left arm."
Ironhead's body shook violently at the command.
"Don't bother acting tough in front of me. You both know that killing you would take no effort on my part," Nolan continued coldly.
"Either you cut off his left arm, or I'll cut off both of yours. Remember, defying me doesn't end well. From now on, any refusal will double the punishment.
"You've got three seconds. If his left arm isn't gone by then, your arms will disappear instead."
Nolan began counting, his tone unhurried. "One."
Ironhead was on the verge of collapse. He didn't want to obey, but fear rooted him in place.
"Two," Nolan said, his voice steady.
With "three" looming, Ironhead's panic overtook him. Grabbing the long blade from the ground, he raised it high, his hands trembling, and brought it down with all his might on Mad Dog's left arm.
The blade struck cleanly. Mad Dog's left arm fell to the ground, blood gushing from the wound. The searing pain nearly caused him to lose consciousness, but he clenched his teeth and endured, refusing to cry out.
"Ironhead, you bastard!" Mad Dog bellowed, his voice filled with rage.
"Just wait—I'll kill you for this, you coward!"
Tears streamed down Ironhead's face. "Mad Dog, if I didn't do it, he'd kill me before you even got the chance!"
"If you think it's just Mr. Greene, you're wrong. What if I told you he has subordinates—ones far stronger than you or me? Strong enough to make me feel hopeless?
"You've already lost your left arm. Next, it'll be your legs. And after that, you know what comes next, don't you?"
As Nolan counted to "three," Mad Dog's resolve faltered.
Whether it was Ironhead's words or the looming fear of complete dismemberment, Mad Dog broke. The thought of being crippled was worse than death.
"I'll talk!" he shouted, his voice strained. "But you have to promise me one thing!
"You absolutely cannot harm Gregory. If you swear on that, I'll take you to him immediately!"
Nolan's eyes narrowed, his gaze cutting through Mad Dog like a blade. "I don't like people negotiating with me," he said, his voice dangerously low.
"So, are you taking me or not? The choice is yours."
