But was Megan really that important of a figure?
He knew that his parents' main concern was maintaining their image. After all, it wasn't just about their image, it was also about preserving the legacy and blessings of the Greene family line.
Of course, even without considering these aspects, if Nolan's parents wanted this face, Nolan had to give it to them! He could afford to do so.
"Dad, when is the family reunion? Don't worry. I won't let you feel embarrassed. In fact, I'll ensure everyone knows that our family is just as good as anyone else's."
As soon as these words were spoken, Victor let out a heavy sigh before stating, "You should probably patch things up with Megan soon."
Tyler smiled and suggested, "Instead of worrying about bringing glory to your parents, it would be a blessing if you could help them save their image. There will be important people attending, so convince Megan to come. It would show your respect."
Nolan remained silent, giving Tyler a penetrating stare. No one would believe his words now. Let the facts do the talking. Nolan was willing to give his parents the recognition they desired, he had gotten everything ready.
After a while, Megan got home. Megan's face lit up with a smile when she saw Nolan sitting obediently on the couch.
Megan's eyes were already red, and she spoke in a pitiful tone, "Nolan, I know I made a mistake. I've already said sorry to you. Can't you find it in your heart to forgive me? Please, just think of it as me begging for your forgiveness. Will that work?"
In a split second, Victor slammed the table hard. He jolted from his seat and cried, "Why are you apologizing to him? This ungrateful kid is just being difficult for no reason.
"Nolan, what did we just talk about? Who are you directing your anger toward now? Hurry up and apologize!"
Tyler interrupted, his tone urgent. "Nolan, Megan has already admitted her mistake and apologized to you. Why are you getting upset? As your brother-in-law, I won't tolerate this behavior. You need to apologize right now!"
