Shaun was excited when he saw Lincoln. Then, he sounded a little upset as he said, "Lincoln, where were you? I couldn't find you at all."
Lincoln approached Shaun alone. When he saw Nolan, he smiled and nodded at him. Then, he turned to Shaun again and said, "It felt a little suffocating in here, so I went out to get some fresh air. What's wrong?"
When Shaun heard that, he stopped pursuing the matter. After all, he knew that Lincoln felt conflicted and didn't feel like talking to him at that moment.
Shaun said, "It's nothing. You just missed out on a lot of excitement earlier. But it's fine. The most important show has yet to begin. Nolan humiliated himself earlier, and I'm not going to go into the details now. However, you'll be interested in what's coming next.
"Nolan has a bet with me. The loser will have to strip naked and get on the floor like a dog. Since you're here, that means that it's about to happen."
Shaun turned to Nolan and smiled coldly. "Nolan, Lincoln's here. You're not going back on your word, are you? Everyone here heard what you said earlier, so it's impossible for you to regret it now.
"Of course, it wouldn't be surprising for a liar like you to go back on your word. However, I strongly advise you against it!"
Nolan put his hands behind his back and scoffed at Shaun. "Of course, I remember our bet. However, I should say the same thing to you. Also, I won't forgive you if you have regrets now."
Shaun laughed loudly. "Regrets? Why would I possibly have regrets? Alright, Lincoln is here now. So, let us begin."
He turned to Lincoln and said confidently, "Lincoln, let me ask you something. Did my dad personally agree to let me be the head of the Baxters? I got the title fair and square, didn't I? Tell Nolan whether or not everyone agreed on this arrangement!"
"Is someone against the idea now? That would be really surprising. But I don't think I should be the one answering the question. After all, I'm not Mr. Baxter, so how can I answer it in his place?
"Someone might even doubt my answer. So, it'll be more appropriate for Mr. Baxter to answer the question himself."
Shaun's face fell again when he heard what Lincoln said. "You can just answer the question, Lincoln. We don't need Dad to prove anything personally.
"After all, he has already retired, and he's enjoying his life now. I'm sure you wouldn't want to trouble him as well, right? Besides, he's exhausted and isn't feeling that great. So, something bad might happen to him. What do you say, Lincoln?"
Shaun was actually threatening Lincoln. However, at that moment, it didn't work.
