Scarlet's gaze was extremely horrifying. At that moment, Archie felt scared instinctively. Despite knowing that Scarlet was here to save him, he couldn't help trembling.
"Mr. Archie?"
Scarlet walked up to Archie and flashed him a friendly smile. However, his smile made Archie, who had been terrified, feel shocked again.
"I'm Archie Baxter. You are?"
Scarlet nodded and grinned. "I'm Scarlet, someone unimportant. Did you get hurt just now?"
Unimportant? Someone like Scarlet would be a powerful figure no matter where he was.
Since Scarlet had said so, Archie dared not retort anything. He quickly waved his hand and replied, "I'm not hurt. Thank you for your concern, Mr. Scarlet."
Scarlet smiled and said, "That's good. I have no idea how to tell Mr. Greene if you're hurt. Now, let's not waste any more time. Let's go."
Archie's eyes shone at the mention of "Mr. Greene". Scarlet was really sent by Nolan.
He knew Nolan wasn't a nobody but a significant figure when he saw Misty Hill then. And now, Scarlet had proven Archie's speculation right.
"Mr. Scarlet, you mentioned Mr. Greene just now. Were you referring to Mr. Nolan Greene? Also, where are we going?"
Scarlet smiled faintly and replied, "You're right. It's Mr. Nolan Greene. If not, who else would come here to save you?
"We're going to attend a birthday banquet. Your son is there. Mr. Greene told me to bring you there after saving you. Oh, you were toppled, right?
Before Archie could finish his words, Scarlet waved his hands and questioned indifferently, "What do you want to remind him about? Are you trying to remind Mr. Greene that these weaklings might hurt him?
"Mr. Archie, aren't you looking down on me then? As Mr. Greene's personal bodyguard, if I can't even handle a small matter like this, am I still qualified to take this role?
"No more next time, Mr. Archie. After all, it feels like an insult if you compare me to rubbish like that."
Scarlet waved his hand as he spoke. Then, he ordered coldly, "Burn these worthless things. Mr. Archie, the car is here. Let's depart."
The next instant, Archie, who was sitting in the car, gulped as he stared at the villa engulfed by fire.
When he saw Scarlet, who held a cigarette between his lips casually in the passenger's seat, he felt that he had likely been dragged into a world he couldn't even begin to imagine.
