The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 277

Nolan's serious expression made everyone burst into laughter again. It seemed funnier to them when Nolan acted seriously.

They thought it was a joke when Nolan said Jeanne would surpass Megan and make the latter see her in a new light. But now, Nolan even had the nerve to say that the Baxter family had to act at Jeanne's pleasure when they did something.

Everyone thought Nolan's words were ridiculous.

Shaun started laughing and shook his head at Nolan. "I thought Ms. Turner was kidding when she said she wanted to send you to receive treatment because you had a mental illness. Nolan, it seems that you're pretty ill.

"But I remember you're a doctor. Could this be what people always say? Doctors don't know how to treat themselves."

Upon hearing that, Nolan stared at Shaun and smiled faintly. "I've never said that I'm a doctor. But you can take me as one if you insist.

"However, I treat more than just sickness. I can deal with everything. So, why are you laughing, Mr. Baxter? Only an ignorant person will be fearless, and you're one."

Nolan still lectured Shaun when his end was close. Shaun couldn't help but fly into a rage.

"Nolan, I'm speaking nicely to you here, yet you don't appreciate it. Do you really think I have to tolerate everything you do only because you've saved my grandpa?

"You know what? I've disliked you for a long time. You even said my family had to act at Jeanne's pleasure. Are you even in a position to say so?

Besides, Ironhead was right beside them and eyeing them.

Before Ironhead lost his temper, Audrey bit the bullet and pointed at Nolan as she roared, "Nolan, your tricks have been exposed, yet you still insist you're right. How could you be so shameless?

"I don't need you to apologize, and you're in no position to apologize to me. But I never want to see you again. Go! Right now! We have nothing to do with each other from now on. Get lost! Quick!"

Audrey pointed at the lobby and yelled to make Nolan leave. In fact, she was obviously saving Nolan. At least that was what Audrey thought.
