Soon, it was the next morning.
It was Kara's birthday that day, and Nolan promised he would attend the party. So, he wasn't going to break the promise.
This time, he didn't put on the suit from before. Instead, he put on a more casual-looking suit that he had brought back from his visit to Misty Hill.
If anyone said it looked cheap, they would be blind. That was because the suit was custom-made by hand, and the materials used were the best in the world. A single set of the suit would cost millions.
Even a wealthy person wouldn't even have seen or heard of it before, let alone a normal person.
Nolan only wore that suit because he liked it. Otherwise, he had suits that were way more expensive.
He held a small glass bottle in his hand. The bottle itself wasn't worth anything, but the Spirit of Life Serum in the bottle was the true priceless treasure.
Nolan sat in the house and waited after looking at the time.
Meanwhile, Kara had already changed at the Weiss residence. She was wearing a beautiful white dress that complemented her youthful beauty.
"Audrey, do you think I'm pretty today?" She turned to Audrey and giggled happily.
Audrey was also wearing a white dress. Anyone would want to cherish her, especially with how sad she looked.
"Yes. You're the most beautiful woman today."
Kara said with a smile, "Thank you for taking care of me all these years, Uncle George and Aunt Courtney. Now that I've grown up, I'll be sure to treat you right."
George smiled and nodded. "Attagirl. We're happy as long as you're happy today. The party venue is set up now, and all we have to do is to go and welcome the guests."
Suddenly, Audrey remembered something and gently said to George, "Dad, Nolan will be there as well. I hope you won't put him in a spot later. There are some things that I wish to tell him myself, and I don't want someone else to tell him instead."
When he heard Nolan's name, he was calm. In fact, he had a disdainful gaze. Clearly, with Shaun as his potential son-in-law, Nolan had already become an obstacle to George.
"It'll be great if you can make things clear with him, Audrey. However, if you can't do it, I'll have no choice but to do it for you myself. Don't worry. If he dares to pester you, I'll never let him go."
Seeing how cold he looked, Audrey sighed. "Don't worry. I know what I must do."
