That was such a good question. Shaun sneered and replied, "So what if she tells Nolan? You'd better not forget that Nolan can't survive. He has offended Mr. Lynch. I might as well end myself if he survives.

"But your words make sense though. I have to give Audrey some time so that she will be willing to be with me. If Nolan died as soon as she became my girlfriend, how would she feel?

"This won't do. I have to let Nolan live a few days more. Inform our men not to do anything for now and wait for my orders."

Peter nodded vigorously and said, "Okay, Mr. Baxter. I'll inform them. However, even if we don't make a move, Mr. Lynch probably won't let Nolan go. He'll still die."

Upon hearing that, Shaun scoffed and replied, "Nolan won't die for now. If my dad insists on protecting him, Nolan can still live for several days. If my family can't even do this, we can never gain a foothold in Bellington.

"Just a few days won't bring any harm. I can wait. It won't change the outcome.

"Let's go. I'll leave Bellington temporarily. I have something else to do anyway. Audrey will be my woman when I'm back later.

However, Audrey kept crying and didn't reply a word even when Kara kept asking. Even her pillow was wet. She cried so much that she could hardly breathe.

Kara hadn't seen Audrey looking this hopeless. Audrey hadn't acted like this even when she had to marry Nicholas. Something was wrong definitely.

"Audrey, don't scare me. Tell me what happened. What's wrong?

"Was it Nolan? It must be Nolan. No one can make you break down like this other than him. Damn Nolan. He must've bullied you. I'll look for him now. I'm going to beat him to death," Kara said.
