Nolan was the only one who would dare to say that the Norwichs meant nothing! He was even brave enough to say it in front of a Norwich.
Blake was immediately infuriated, and he pointed at Nolan and said coldly, "Nolan, I suggest that you reel it back a little. Otherwise, you're going to regret it.
"I don't mind slowly talking terms with you. It doesn't matter how much we have to offer because you'll have to be alive to spend it.
"Do you seriously think that you can do whatever you want just because you have some dirty tricks up your sleeves? Since you know what the Norwichs are capable of, you should know that we can end you whenever we want. Do you really want that to happen?"
Since the negotiation wasn't working, he decided to threaten Nolan's life.
Blake was fearless because of his wealth, but that didn't mean Nolan should be afraid instead. The latter looked at Blake and calmly said, "What's wrong? Are you getting anxious now? Think about it carefully. Do you think you can leave this place today if I don't allow it?"
Then, Nolan turned to Jerry and smirked coldly. "No one's going to take me seriously if no blood is spilled. Why don't I sacrifice your life to show your boss a demonstration?"
When Jerry heard that, he was about to go insane. Anyone would've been on the brink of death by being poisoned once. Meanwhile, despite keeping his mouth shut, he still went through the pain twice just for some demonstration.
At that moment, Nolan clearly wanted to scare Blake. However, Jerry didn't understand why it had to be him. He immediately looked scared as he took a few steps backward. He didn't even dare to make any noise.
Blake suddenly felt scared when he thought about how miserable Jerry looked previously. He also remembered Nolan's unpredictable poisoning skills.
So, he looked at Nolan once more and said, "Mr. Greene, I'm here to talk terms with you in peace, so there's no need to get angry. Honestly, I admire you. We can continue with the negotiation, but there's something else I would like to talk to you about too.
Blake's face turned incredibly pale as he looked at Nolan. Then, he showed a wry smile and said, "You're really interesting, Mr. Greene. I don't even know what you're saying now. I don't need to prove that I'm a man. Did you really have to go that low just to humiliate me?"
Nolan looked back at him and chuckled.
"Your full name is Blake Norwich, and your father is Hector Norwich. You grew up with Mr. Norwich Senior, and even though you weren't a smart kid, you were always kind. As for why you grew up to be this way, I'm not too sure, and I don't want to get into it.
"However, whenever Mr. Norwich Senior talked about you, he would look sad. Let me ask you something—Do you still remember the grandpa who used to carry you on his back and make you happy?"
Blake was instantly stunned. He never would've expected Nolan to say something like that at all. Those words made him take a road down memory lane right away.
