The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 113

"In that case, thank you, Mr. Norwich. However, I can't possibly let you pay for it. When I have the money, I'll buy it myself," Megan said with a giggle. "I was asking about it because I was wondering what if someone made a knockoff of it?"

When Blake heard that, he stared at her and said with a cold chuckle, "Would someone even dare to make a counterfeit version of a product from Norwich Group? They would have a death wish to do so!

"Why are you asking about it? Do you know someone who has done it? You can just let me know about it.

"Since I can't handle it myself, I can let my family and the company know. Then, someone will deal with it."

Megan smiled and shook her head. "That's not it. I was just asking because I was curious. Here. Have some coffee, Mr. Norwich."

At that moment, Jerry and the rest suddenly barged into the room. When Blake saw them, his face fell immediately. Then, he asked with a frown, "Did you fail?"

Jerry looked miserable as he nodded. Previously, he was confident and wanted to perform well for Blake. However, he had been humiliated terribly instead.

Blake coldly looked at him. "How humiliating, you useless piece of trash. If the easy way didn't work, you should've gone with the hard way. Can't you even do that? Hmm… Now, I'm curious about this guy. He sure is bold to disregard the Norwich family."

After saying that, Blake stood up and looked at Jerry again. "Bring me to him. I want to meet him myself."

Then, Megan hurriedly stood up as well. "Mr. Norwich, do you need my help? Again, I'm quite capable in Bellington. So, feel free to ask for my help if something is troubling you."

She walked to the table and grabbed the cup before chucking it into the trash can. "Megan, isn't he the son of the Norwich family?"

Megan scoffed and said, "There are so many of them, so what's so great about him? He's just a piece of trash that can't even make up his mind over a piece of jewelry, so he can't possibly be that important in the family. I'm already playing nice by smiling at him.

"If he really thinks he can manipulate me with his last name, then he has utterly underestimated me."

After saying that, she shot a side glance at Jeanne. "On the other hand, you sure were passionate about him. Why don't I dress you up and introduce you to him? I don't think he'll reject you. However, I can't promise if you can leave a deep impression in his mind."
