The Perfect Wife's Perfect Revenge novel Chapter 952

"During that crash, they both sacrificed themselves to shield you. You were the only survivor."

Connor remained skeptical, but the explanation struck a chord deep within him. He didn't push back.

"What's the name of the person who killed them? Can I go see her?"

Marcus replied flatly.

"Violet Marchand."

Violet was serving her time at Starfall Penitentiary. The name sounded faintly familiar to Connor, but he couldn't place where he had heard it.

Marcus watched him, fully aware that Connor had zero recollection of the woman. It made sense; with his fractured memories, how could he possibly remember Violet?

But a flicker of recognition crossed Connor's eyes as he asked his next question.

"Did I know this Violet person before?"

Marcus gave a curt nod.

"You did. She was McNeil's mistress. Word was that she saved his life once, but that turned out to be a total fabrication. She's also the reason Gwyn's parents got divorced."

Connor scoffed dismissively. "Just another cliché cheating scandal. Can't you older folks come up with better drama?"

Chapter 952 2

"Can't you aim a little higher? Are we both doomed to be pathetic over the Langford women?"

Marcus replied smoothly, "As long as you have the spine to move on, you don't need to worry about my love life." He leveled a hard stare at his nephew.

"Go handle your own mess. Wherever you're heading, just make sure you come back in one piece."

With that, Marcus returned to his paperwork, ignoring him. Connor's mouth twitched. It seemed he couldn't hide anything from his sharp-witted uncle.
