The Night I Let Go novel Chapter 88

"Wendy, are you stupid? Why should I admit my mistakes?"

Zachary was so angry that he laughed. Then, he turned his gaze to Ethan, whose expression was darkening. With a cold smirk, he added, "Or do you think everyone is like your little lapdog here, needing to stick to you and fawn over you?"

"Zachary!"

Wendy's chest heaved with rage. She wanted to say more, but at that moment, two familiar figures approached.

It was Anya and Camila.

As soon as Camila arrived, she cheerfully approached Zachary, smiling at Wendy and Ethan.

"Hey, handsome. Are these your friends?"

"Who is she?" Wendy's face paled slightly when she saw Camila.

She was beginning to believe that he was indeed here with friends.

Anya walked over and plopped down in the empty seat next to Zachary.

"Camila, let me introduce you. This is Wendy Jennings, Zachary's ex-wife! And that next to her... well, he's the home wrecker!"

She deliberately slowed down when saying "home wrecker," but her tone was noticeably louder.

Her eyes radiated disdain and disgust, something anyone with eyes could easily see.

Ethan's already unpleasant expression turned even uglier upon hearing Anya's introduction.

"Ms. Wayne, please mind your wording. Wendy and I are just close friends!"

Before Derrick could respond, Camila interjected, "Oh, you have a membership card? Mr. Wade, please help him cancel it on the spot then! I'll cover any losses."

"Understood, Ms. Gaines!" Derrick smiled and nodded.

He might have found it challenging to handle the situation without her statement, but with her backing, he felt no hesitation.

He quickly called over two security guards and instructed them to escort Ethan out.

He struggled against them, but being smaller and weaker, he was forcibly removed from the resort by the two burly guards.

Wendy didn't stop them. She clenched her teeth tightly as she fixed her gaze on Zachary's face.

"Zachary, is this what you wanted? To humiliate Ethan publicly and embarrass me?"
