The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 864

Even Sunlight couldn’t figure this out, so how could she possibly do anything?

“She’s definitely here for something of mine again!” Franco grumbled, remembering how she’d thrown her weight around last time. The thought alone made his blood boil. If it weren’t for those eyes—so much like Nora’s—he would have had her thrown out long ago, maybe even worse.

The butler scratched his head, the corners of his mouth twitching nervously. “The pretty young lady says she wants the Covid-X formula.”

That formula was Mrs. Hawk’s lifeline. Franco would sooner cut off his own head than hand it over. The moment those words left the butler’s mouth, Franco’s face turned stormy.

“Get out.”

“Yes, sir.”

The butler didn’t dare say another word. He backed out quickly, heart pounding in his chest.

Silence settled over the room again.

Franco set the towel aside and gently placed Nora’s hand against his cheek. His eyes softened as he looked at her. “Nora, I won’t let anything happen to you.”

At the hotel.

“So that’s the situation,” Jackson said, watching Charlotte work on her laptop from the couch. His brow furrowed. “Charlotte, Franco refuses to see us.”

“He’s probably still scared after the chaos Charlotte caused last time,” Adonis added with a smirk. “The people at the presidential palace said Charlotte looks just like Franco’s wife. That’s probably why he went so easy on her before.”

“Yeah, that’s easy,” Jackson said quickly. “Just bribe a servant or two.”

“Charlotte, are you thinking Franco could be your father?” Adonis finally caught on, his jaw practically on the floor. “People at the palace said you look like Franco’s wife. So maybe...”

He was tempted to keep going, but he bit his tongue. The thought that Charlotte’s mother might still be alive flashed through his mind. If that were true, Charlotte would be Franco’s daughter. Which meant the whole of Solenia would belong to N Organization. That was a fortune.

“We’re moving up the timeline,” Charlotte said quietly.

She pressed her lips together, eyes icy cold. She snapped her laptop shut, grabbed it, and stood up. “Get the sample to the N Organization lab within an hour.”

There, they had everything they needed. In three hours, they’d have the DNA results.
