The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 684

She liked Anthony. She loved him. Really, truly loved him.

Robert just stood there, completely speechless.

Half an hour later, Robert walked back into the main hall, holding Charlotte’s hand.

Anthony was still kneeling on the floor. Robert finally couldn’t take it anymore and called out, his voice a little gruff, “Get up already. What are you doing, kneeling like that?”

Anthony didn’t really know what Lottie had said earlier, but it was obvious Robert’s attitude toward him had changed.

When Anthony didn’t move, Kenneth rolled his eyes and said, “Okay, that’s enough. You’re making our family look like a bunch of bandits shaking someone down.”

Other people might not see what Anthony was doing, but Kenneth could tell. And judging by how Grandpa was acting, it was clear he’d given in.

“Thank you, Grandpa,” Anthony said, standing up respectfully.

Everyone stared at him in disbelief. He was really quick to switch gears, already calling Robert Grandpa.

“Anthony...” Robert started.

“Grandpa,” Anthony repeated, his voice calm and low.

Robert coughed awkwardly. “Fine, you two can date. I’m not getting in the way. But let’s get one thing straight. If you ever hurt Lottie—”

Before he could finish, Kenneth jumped in. “What if Lottie’s the one bullying Anthony?”

Anthony already spoiled Charlotte so much. If he kept it up, she’d end up running circles around him, and Kenneth knew it better than anyone.

Robert looked a little embarrassed. He glanced at Charlotte and said, “That’s not allowed either.”

“Oh, and one more thing.” The butler suddenly remembered, his voice a little urgent. “Robert, Patricia left a message for you. She said...”

He hesitated, looking a little stunned himself. When he’d first heard it, he could barely believe it was real. If he hadn’t heard Patricia say it with his own ears, he would’ve thought Anthony had set the whole thing up as a joke.

“What did she say?” everyone asked, even Anthony looking curious.

The butler took a deep breath and spoke carefully. “She said Anthony finding a girlfriend as wonderful as Charlotte means he must have saved the universe in a past life. It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to the Blair family.”

Everyone just stared, totally speechless.

“There’s more,” the butler added. “Patricia said you don’t have to worry about anything. If Anthony ever dares to bully Charlotte, the Blair family will stand up for her and beat Anthony senseless.”

The room fell completely silent.
