The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 2141

"Boss, she..."

Adonis gripped his phone, hesitating for two seconds before replying. "Boss has been busy with the exchange event lately and is a bit exhausted."

"Mr. Blair, did you not get through to her?"

"Do you want me to go get her right now?"

Jackson furrowed his brows, surprised that Adonis was actually using his brain.

"No need," Anthony said, falling silent as if weighing the truth of Adonis's words. "I heard she met with her brother and gave him some bracelets. Send me a picture of them."

"Yes, sir."

Adonis immediately agreed, snapped a photo, and sent it to Anthony.

Looking at the beautiful bracelets in the picture, Anthony recalled the text Lottie had sent him three hours ago before heading out to see Donald.

Since she had actively initiated a video call with him earlier, he figured he was just overthinking things.

"Take good care of her."

"Yes, Mr. Blair."

After hanging up, Adonis's expression shifted drastically. He leaned against the wall, gasping for air.

That was terrifying. They were almost exposed.

Jackson frowned, his expression grim. "This isn't the terrifying part. When he finds out the truth, it's going to be an absolute bloodbath."

Hearing this, Adonis lost all his nerve.

Although they trusted Boss completely, there were too many unstable factors at play.

Their current mission was to safely escort this group of innocent students from the hotel back to Eldoria.

As for what happened next...

They were willing to be beaten to death if it meant telling Anthony the truth then.

By the time Charlotte woke up, the sky outside was dark.

She and Donald were locked in separate rooms.

Wanting to confirm that Donald was unharmed, Charlotte threw off the covers and got out of bed.

Pushing the door open, she was met with two dense rows of guards flanking both sides, completely sealing off her room.

The island was massive, and its security was top-tier.

Under the guard's lead, Charlotte soon arrived at Donald's room.

Donald stood by the window, a timer strapped to his leg, gazing out at the endless ocean.

From Charlotte's angle, his usually strong back looked somewhat lonely.

It made sense.

His first love was here, which naturally brought up some melancholy.

She wondered what The Overlord's Daughter, the woman who had broken Donald's heart, actually looked like.

She had to be quite something to make a man as steadfast as Donald commit such a "mistake."

Hearing the commotion, Donald snapped out of his memories. When he turned and saw the person at the door, a faint smile graced his face.

"Did you sleep well?"

"Pretty well." Charlotte walked in and sat beside him. From the corner of her eye, she caught sight of the security camera mounted above them. The corners of her lips curled up slightly. "Don't worry. Everything will be fine after tomorrow."
