The Medallion novel Chapter 1379

"He seems to recognize you... Do you want to hug him? You haven't held him for a long time," Isis asked as she expectantly gazed at Rocky.

"No, I'd rather not." Rocky shook his head. He refused to do that, because he was worried that his evil energy might have implications on his son.

At that moment, Isis and Rocky locked eyes and understood what each other meant without uttering a single word. She no longer forced him to come near the child. But as she was about to put Nigel in Sue's arms, Nigel suddenly said in an ambiguous voice, "Da—d..."

Hearing this for the first time, Rocky, Isis, and Sue were all very much surprised.

"What? Did you hear that? Did he just call you dad?" Isis wanted to jump out of immense joy. Apparently, this was Nigel's first time to say dad.

On the other hand, Rocky couldn't figure out if he would laugh or cry from too much excitement. Without a doubt, Nigel's word "dad" shocked him. Despite knowing that he was never really a great father to Nigel, he still loved the child so much, just like any other parent would. For that reason, he felt somewhat guilty. Not long after, he stretched his arms and reached them out to Nigel to carry him. In just a matter of seconds, his once cold face suddenly melted, revealing a sweet fatherly smile. However, the visible joy in his face did not last long.

"Son, help me take good care of your mother for me in the future," Rocky softly ordered Nigel. This was because he knew that this might be the last time he saw his beloved son.

Of course, Nigel didn't understand a word his father said. However, he looked straight into Rocky's eyes as if he was trying to memorize his father's face.

Afterwards, Rocky handed over Nigel to Sue and left the Dragon Master Clan with Isis. Then, both of them were heading to the Butterfly Divine Clan at the Myriad Beasts Ground.

Meanwhile, as soon as they set foot on the said place, Rocky unexpectedly got some good news—the Nether Butterfly Queen, the legendary guardian beast of the Butterfly Divine Clan, had finally been reincarnated. This would only mean that he could soon collect the blood essence of the last legendary guardian beast.

Cherry didn't expect that Rocky's timing could not have gone any more perfectly. She assumed that he would want the blood essence of the Nether Butterfly Queen, so she had planned to ask Kayla to deliver it to him beforehand.

"Wow, you are in perfect timing," Cherry remarked as she looked at Rocky smoothly.

"So, you have it, right?" Rocky asked as he stretched out his hand, waiting for the essence to be given to him.

Soon after, Kayla took out a small bottle from her sleeve and handed it over to Rocky.

Upon receiving the vial, Rocky proceeded to tell Cherry his main agenda for his visit.

"Just tell me whatever kind of help you need. Rest assured that our clan will do our very best to help save the Wild Spirit Land." Cherry had her offer ready on the table.

Right after that, Rocky sent Isis back to the United Army's base camp. Since Marcia hadn't come back yet, he left alone after giving some orders in the camp.

Not long after, he arrived at his next destination—the Myriad Spirit Tomb.

During that time, the Wild Spirit Land seemed like a very uncivilized continent. The spiritual race had not yet been born, and the Divine Spiritual Source was the only power that had the ability to maintain the balance of the entire Wild Spirit Land. With that being said, the whole Wild Spirit Land experienced huge changes after the Divine Spiritual Source was taken away from it. In addition, the nine great spiritual meridians had also changed ever since this happened. From then on, the whole Wild Spirit Land had become a world brimming with spiritual power.

Not long after, the spiritual race became powerful, slowly evolved, and possessed and learned how to use their unique power.

But later on, nine powerful calamity beasts emerged from the nine spiritual meridians of the Wild Spirit Land. Upon being brought out into the world, these creatures began roaming around the Wild Spirit Land. They caused havoc and chaos, exterminating everything on their paths. As a result, the Wild Spirit Land fell into an endless disaster.

Apart from the destruction that these beasts had caused in the Wild Spirit Land, they also had an immense effect on the world of the Star Divine Race.

It was only during the twelve deities' second visit in the Wild Spirit Land that they found out the entire land suffered from the wrath of the nine beasts.

Without hesitation, the twelve deities summoned all their strength and utilized the power of the Divine Spiritual Source to seal and contain the nine calamity beasts, bringing back peace into the Wild Spirit Land.

Initially, it was expected that the twelve deities returned to their own world after completing their mission. However, they realized how abundant the spiritual power was in the Wild Spirit Land and thought that perhaps, it was more suitable for them to cultivate in such an environment. Moreover, the spiritual race had a certain scale at that time that spread all throughout the entire Wild Spirit Land. Meanwhile, there were only less than a thousand members of the Star Divine Race left, making them on the verge of extinction. In order to protect the lives and existence of Star Divine Race, the twelve deities had planned to build and expand their bloodline across the Wild Spirit Land.

After that, the Star Divine Race moved from their original world to the Wild Spirit Land, further establishing the Maelstrom Realms. In the first realm, which was the current location of the Myriad Spirit Tomb, the Star Divine Race built a new home. In order to balance the power of the two worlds, they also built the Heavenly God Temple on the second realm, which also served as the bridge between the two worlds. The Divine Spiritual Source was worshiped in the Heavenly God Temple and was guarded by the twelve deities.

Indeed, the Star Divine Race was born with powerful innate strength. The spiritual race might have possessed power, but it was far inferior to that of the Star Divine Race. With that being said, the Star Divine Race saw themselves as the savior of the Wild Spirit Land. Not long after, this race became the ruler of the land and ruled over all the clans of the spiritual race.
