The Marriage She Turned into War novel Chapter 100

I could vaguely sense Blair looking at me in confusion.

But I didn't turn around because I knew that when refusing someone, I had to be completely resolute and not give them any false hope.

After the auction ended, I bid farewell to Rebecca and prepared to leave.

Just as I stepped out of the venue, I saw Abigail standing at the entrance, walking toward me under the crowd's watchful eyes.

I glanced at her calmly, instinctively wanting to bypass her and leave.

But Abigail looked at me with an air of arrogance and coldly ordered, "Come with me."

"Hmm?"

I frowned and looked at Abigail, asking seriously, "Abigail, aren't you being a bit too bossy?

"You asked me to accompany you to meet clients, I did that. You asked me to help you with other stuff, and I did that too.

"Now you act like you're giving orders to a dog. What's that about?

"Am I supposed to live my whole life just for you and not for myself?"

I was fed up with Abigail's condescending attitude and instinctively retorted.

But Abigail didn't even glance at me. She simply grabbed my arm and pulled me into the car.

I sat in the passenger seat, looking coldly at the domineering Abigail with a flicker of anger in my eyes.

However, it seemed Abigail didn't notice at all. She smiled faintly at me, maintaining her composure as she said, "Samuel, don't forget, we're in a public place.

"Since it's a public place, your identity is my husband.

"If others see that, as my husband, you didn't leave with me after the banquet, what do you think they would say? You wouldn't want to be the topic of gossip, would you?"

They had given Kayla so much encouragement, and together, they had supported each other for several years.

Now that Kayla had passed away, I had tried to make up for all the debts I owed her through them.

I hoped they could take Kayla's place and live on, striving to thrive!

I looked at Abigail calmly and asked, "So, for the sake of your pride, you'd rather take your legitimate husband away while ignoring your little lover?"

My words made Abigail's expression darken instantly.

She glared at me, her voice icy as she replied, "I'm not going to argue with you today, especially since you did help me secure a big deal.

"Rebecca is very pleased with our performance this time and has decided to continue our collaboration."

"Oh, really? Congratulations then."
