Moses had devised the assassination of Gustavo for so many days, but just as he was about to succeed, Charlie popped up out of nowhere and stopped the plan. He even claimed to be Moses's friend.

What was even more outrageous was that Moses immediately withdrew the plan after a word from Charlie.

Charlie cleared his throat and began, "It is a big mess today. All the prisoners saw that both of you had a conflict, but thankfully, they didn't see you trying to kill Gustavo. So, now we have to come up with a story to tell the inmates as well as the warden to prevent things from continuing to spread."

Charlie nodded. "That's what I will talk about next."

After a pause, he continued, "I've already said that it is just a trick to stall for time. It only works for three days, at most, so I will think of a way to protect you for the time being."

"What kind of plan do you have in mind to protect me from my son?" Gustavo asked nervously.

"I do have a plan." Charlie drawled with a smile, "If you don't want your son to kill you, you have to go to the warden to get extra protection for yourself. By then, I'm sure that no one would dare to kill you here."

"But..." Gustavo hesitated with a concerned expression. "Although the warden's position is not prominent, he is a member of the Rothschild family and is very loyal to them. If I ask him for help, not only will he not agree, but he will report it to the family immediately.
