The Man in Power After Being Married into Her Family novel Chapter 5984

The antique shop was closed when Charlie's car stopped in front of the shop.

Janus was indifferent about it. After all, they were quite early, and few shops were open early in the morning.

But Charlie, who was more observant, noticed something unusual.

He saw the mottled rust on the iron folding door and handle of the shop as if no one had cleaned them for a while.

He pulled over to the other side of the street as he had planned to get a cup of coffee there. When he went closer to the shop to have a look, he found that the shop hadn't been operated for a long time. There was even a cobweb hanging over the door.

Looking inside through the window, he saw that the exhibits were dirty and had not been maintained for quite some time.

Janus frowned in confusion. "It looks like this place has been closed for at least a few months."

"You're right." Charlie nodded. "Didn't the Coles run many antique shops in Europe and the United States? Maybe they decided to close the business here."

Janus glanced at the thrift store next door and saw people inside despite the shop's closed sign. He went over, knocked on the door, and chatted with them.

After the conversation, he returned to Charlie and said, "Mr. Wade, let's get back to the car and talk."

"Not necessarily," Janus replied. "The FBI will take over the serious cases that breach national security and involve important people or things. Since the FBI arrested Biden, it means that whatever fraud he was suspected of was quite serious."

"Does that man know how's Biden now?" Charlie asked.

"No." Janus shook his head. “All he knows is that the Coles' antique shops in the United States seem to be closed, and he doesn't know how Biden is now."

Janus sighed dejectedly and added, "I’ve lived in New York for years, but I don't go anywhere far from Oskiatown, and I don't know anyone. I don't even know who to ask for information like this."
